The warm nostalgic summer love song, which features Kim Vi on fleecy vocals, is an intoxicating introduction to Nydge, or Detroit producer Nigel Van Hemmye. Won’t You Call Me is a mellow gliding, gooey grooving treat with plenty of soul. If Tom Misch laid on the pop a little bit thicker, jammed out with Jordan Rakei, and amped up the dance beats, it might sound something like Nydge’s blissed out tune. You’ll find it impossible to shuffle your feet along to mellifluous swaying Won’t You Call Me and its gently snapping beat.
