One of my favorite places in the world. I’m probably here at least every other week. I love that libraries allow millions of us to follow our curiosities and buy less and ask nothing of us: No purchase required to come and hang out. Anyone is welcome. I read twenty-two new books this year, and probably a dozen or so re-reads and miscellaneous guide books (almost exclusively about plants duh). I read a lot more nonfiction than is typical for me, and not surprisingly, several pregnancy and parenting books. I half-read at least as many books as below, a lot of them about climate change and parenting strategies. My favorite book this year was “Circe” and you should definitely read it if you’re into Greek Mythology, strong female protagonists, and beautiful storytelling.
