well, they are dangerous, but also, you're a damn adult and have the right to make these choices for yourself. I'm sad to hear they are hassling you about YOUR life decisions. :/
I maybe get a little rankled because my ex didn't think I could 'handle' a bike because I wasn't a good enough driver... but I've never been in a collision that was my fault (I have, however, had two people reverse out of their driveways and into my car while I was driving it - do your head-checks, people!) and yet he wrote off two cars? My brother also thinks that I'm not a good enough driver. But, again, he's the one who has written off cars due to inattentive driving. My BFF tried to dissuade me recently with a story about her brother having a bike accident on a beach in the middle of nowhere and being hospitalised for several days... but he was riding drunk in the middle of the night without any protective gear and also rode off a cliff. That's not super relevant to my daily commute.
Like, I have no doubt that motorbikes offer way less protection than a car, and because they're smaller vehicles they're more prone to getting clipped by cars due to drivers not seeing them. Also, some car drivers are major jackholes who are unable to share the road, so there's another risk. But I feel that there is some unjustified personal critique in these 'concerns'.
I'm okay with "Bikes are dangerous and I don't want you to get hurt!" Less okay with "You being on a bike will be dangerous and you're definitely going to get hurt".
