I really feel like there was no other options for the winner this cycle. This girl came in with this star quality no one else really had (in my opinion), and kept it the whole cycle. Considering she was an early out in her original cycle, this was a huge improvement. I just knew she was going to win the second I saw her first shot, hanging upside down, which I gave her her first FCO for. This one was later joined by 2 more, one for the silk motion video - showing her ability to excel in the multiple aspects of modeling, and one for the finale shoot - which gave her that final boost needed for her to win against the girl she tied with in my averages, Thuy Duong. I don’t even think I dislike a single shot of hers! Not only was she a great photo model, but a great runway model as well. She really has the IT-factor, and will go down as one of the best winners of any NTM. However, she did have one downside; her facial variety - which was about nonexistent. She’s really lucky that she has a stunning face (which I think beats Thuy Duong for me) so that I never had a problem with it.
Post show, she has been called the lookbook queen of VNTM by the fandom. She has shot lookbooks for Huu La La, MYM, Mn, Happy Clothing, DECOS and more. Of course, not only lookbooks, but also various magazine covers and editorials; including L’Officiel Vietnam, Elite Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam, Dep Magazine and Heritage Magazine. She has also had success on the runway, walking for Do Manh Cuong, Mimi Tran, Soe Jakarta, Samira Ebrahimi, INIFD-LST, Cong Tri, Canifa, and more (during London FW as well). I’m expecting even more from her, as she’s still going strong a year after her win.

And for the third and final time, Kim Dung tops my weekly call-out. I have to say though, although these shots are literal perfection, I’m not impressed anymore. Kim Dung has shown the exact same face every week since week 1 and I would’ve rather seen a less perfect shot with some diversity. Not holding past performance into account however, she’s done a great job this week. She’s the obvious stand out in the group shot, being in the middle, but even if she was on the side, she would’ve certainly still been my favorite of the bunch. This is one of her best angles and it perfectly shows her cheekbones and jawline. The intensity in the eyes is perfect as always as well. The pose is simple, but good, it shows the clothes you know. I’m actually more impressed with her single shot though, even though it’s not my favorite of the week. Her cheekbones are just popping there, and I like that the eyes are not as intense so the shots have at least ~some~ differences. The clothes look great here and I love the pose, it demands all the attention and she looks very powerful. Also, her neck looks so long here, I love it! I’ve never noticed that before, she must be taller than I thought she was!

Honestly, this shot is better than Thuy Duong’s in my opinion, but I chose not to give Kim Dung FCO for just one reason; she’s giving the same face every week. It’s a really gorgeous face, so she’s lucky, but I need to see some diversity to keep being excited to see her shots. Now onto what she’s doing, it’s flawless! Her pose is gorgeous, the over the shoulder look is working for me. Now onto the moneymaker in this particular shot, her hair. Her hair looks gorgeous here! This could easily be a hair campaign, and I love how she’s enhancing that by touching her hair with her hand. This is the same composition I hated in Cao Ngan’s shot, but it works here because the hair makes up for the empty space.

For the first time in 3 weeks, Kim Dung falls out of my top 2, but just barely! The top 3 shots were just at another level than the rest this week. Kim Dung probably did the best job at selling the clothes this week, which is what a model is supposed to do. The way she made her top flow in the wind looks absolutely gorgeous! She really looks like a model here, kind of runway walking on a darn seesaw. The only thing it’s lacking is interaction with the male model.. I wish she’d walked towards him instead of away from him, and she might’ve snatched the FCO or SCO again.
