Kimipyon number plate
An option to choose when we registered the Hunter Cub was Kimitsu City's mascot character - based on the city's flower - the Mitsuba Azalea.
Kimipyon is a lively and cute little animal that lives in the lush forests of the Boso Hills that spread across the city, and comes to play on the shores of lakes and rivers.
We were told, though very popular we were NOT allowed to have Kisapon the tanuki (left) on our plate, as though the Cub was sold in Kisarazu, because it was to live in Kimitsu, Kimipyon was the only option (other than blank).
