yeah, we know that

we know the person talking knows that

we know anyone who actually cares about us knows that

the problem is that they clearly didn’t

and we won’t think of them every time we watch the movies we watched together

and we won’t think of them every Halloween

and we won’t think of them every time Homestuck or Moomin is mentioned

and we won’t think of them if we ever go back to GenCon

and we won’t think of them every time we do our estradiol shot

and it won’t hurt

and it won’t keep hurting

and it won’t twist our insides every day

but we have very little hope
