Hi! I'm glad you like Kimset! Whether or not the next chapter comes out is at this point up to you guys! I've fought, brawled, and chewed on this damn chapter for WAY to long, and it's mostly due to me not feeling like it lives up to the rest. Would you all prefer a weaker chapter but at least an update (finally!), or would you rather wait longer for a potentially better chapter?

La prima volta che Monsieur Paul Prot, proprietario della Maison Lubin, vide la bottiglia di profumo a forma di elefante sulla sua scrivania disse che era una follia. La bottiglia in questione era destinata a contenere la fragranza per quella che all’epoca tutti consideravano un principessa indiana il cui nome era Kismet, una donna bellissima, poliglotta, enigmatica e misteriosa, che negli anni ’20 animava i salotti francesi. All’epoca Parigi era il centro del mondo in cui convergevano artisti di fama, intellettuali e il bel mondo. Per realizzare il flacone di profumo da Maison Lubin avevano consultato gli scritti di un famoso poeta indiano, Valmiki, che rendendo omaggio alla Donna, paragonava gli occhi al più nobile degli animali: l’elefante. L’dea piacque molto a Kismet e la scia del profumo l’accompagnò fino alla sua scomparsa, perché Kismet a un certo punto si eclissò per non riapparire mai più svelando la sua vera identità al mondo; quella di spia ottomana.
Dopo quasi un secolo il profumo torna ad essere rieditato, fedele allo spirito originale, ed é tutto merito del famoso flacone in cristallo Baccarat disegnato da Georges Chevalier nel 1921. Per caso il nuovo proprietario della Maison Lubin si é imbattuto in un antiquario che aveva la preziosa bottiglia, un pezzo da collezionisti, e l’ha acquistato. Poi la ricerca negli archivi della formula della fragranza e la difficoltà di ricreare la composizione. Kismet di Lubin é un profumo seducente e inebriante, che esordisce con le note fresche e vivaci di bergamotto, limone e petit grain per poi aprirsi in un cuore vellutato di rosa centifolia e bulgara e tocchi cremosi di patchouli. Il profumo si chiude con le note dolci della vaniglia, cisto labdano e oponax. Le fragranze di Lubin sono distribuite in Italia da Beautysan.
