#ChristmasScavengerHunt premiered this weekend on @hallmarkchannel Starring #KevinMcGarry (Dustin) and #KimShaw (Belinda.) It yielded 🎄🎄🎄 #ChristmasTears! Belinda is a real estate agent in the city and her dreams of becoming junior partner are nearly realized as her boss asks her to close on an old mill in her hometown. It’s nearly Christmas so while Belinda has been dodging bad memories back home, she sees this as her opportunity to shatter the glass ceiling. Her boyfriend, Logan, plans a thoughtful dinner to celebrate and gives Belinda an early Christmas present; a locket with the stock photo still inside! Belinda makes her way home and entering town, she runs into her old, high school boyfriend Dustin, putzing around in the snow. She stops to have a conversation dripping in so much sarcasm, it would have melted Frosty’s buttons right off. Belinda’s father (Tom Arnold, who has the worst sinus infection the whole movie I could barely understand him) organizes a Christmas Scavenger hunt to raise money for needy children and partners his daughter up with high school boi. The scavenger hunt was actually so darn precious I may actually put it into my Christmas rotation and add some adult elements. I’ll call it #Hallmarking. They start to rekindle their old romance and Dustin explains why he broke things off after high school. Belinda is forgiving and in a beautiful surprise, Dustin brings her to the old town mill where he arranged for a little boy to have Christmas with his mother who was deployed in the military. The tears flowed and Belinda knew she couldn’t sell the mill where so many people had wonderful memories. Belinda’s boyfriend crashes their Christmas cookie baking and get’s mad when he’s soiled his silk, Italian tie with butter. He had to go. Belinda calls it off, the mill is saved and she professes her love to Dustin. Dustin gives her a locket for Christmas with a picture of the two of them inside.
