Can I ask the difference between a kin and a fictive?

My knowledge is under the cut bab!
I (Rox) have been asked this many times amongst the blogs I mod on; it’s a pretty common question actually--
So a kin, like you and I, per se, is a past life. Someone you personally were in a past life, yeah? Like… I’ve been Roxy Strider (Daveswapped), Eridan Serket (Vriskaswapped), and Eridan Ampora (Humanstuck), to my knowledge currently.
A fictive is someone in the headspace, like an alter, who’s source is from fiction material (Homestuck, Pokemon, Danganronpa to name a few). c: I hope this clears up some confusion!
(TLDR Bro is a headmate of mine; an alter who’s further defined as a fictive. I, Rox, am my own person and am separate from him.)
so, ive run into the term ID in relation to kinning, but i dont know what it means. if you know can you explain it? thanks-

From what I’ve gathered in the time I’ve been a kinnie (which is not very long lmao– I’m not kidding either), there seems to be like… Levels of connection with certain kins? If I’m reading it right, anyways.
The standard format seems to be something along the lines of (from Strongest to Lowest:
- Literal(ly Me) / Selfhood- ID- Primary- Secondary- Tertiary (Sometimes used? I haven’t seen is as much as the four above)
With that said, it seems that (to me) an kin that’s an ID is someone that you identify Very Strongly as, enough that it may?? affect yourself; in my case, Tyzias is Very Much an ID because I share a lot of her attitude towards things, as well as her view on legal matters (in that ‘verse anyways– my views on legal matters in the Real World are for political debate and not this blog lol).
Of course, I may have completely borked this explanation, hence the disclaimer above, so please take this with the weight of a grain of salt. //shrug
