REAL QUEZON PROVINCE – DAY1
Reál, Quezon Province. It’s a 3-4-hr drive from Manila famous for its beaches, falls and lambanog. Though not as popular as La Union, Baler or Siargao, Real Quezon is also a good surfing and skimming destination.
I was lucky enough that I was able to visit and tour around Real Quezon in April 2008. My classmate during my college days at Arellano University Manila, ate Josie Potestades, is one of the sweetest and hospitable locals of Real. She invited me and some of our classmates to have a weekend getaway on their place. Because of her our entire getaway was cheap and extra ordinary, Accommodation was at their house and food was not a problem too, sugpo (huge prawns) and crabs was unlimited all for free! Thanks to Potestades Family. :)
KINANLIMAN FALLS (KALIWA)
We trekked for more than 2 hours through the snaking route of Kinanliman River and were enthralled by the time we saw “Kaliwa Waterfall”. We felt the very essence of nature while passing through the river uphill. During our trek, we took a quick dip in different areas in the river. Geeeez sooo Refreshing!
