Both Kinro and Darby are demiromantic and asexual, so I wanted to doodle a little something for Pride Month! Especially since Kinro has been on my mind a lot lately with the new season of Dr. Stone, so aaa… I couldn’t resist drawing them. 😭💕
Just a messy little doodle of Kinarby! I definitely struggled with the hands on this one, but I think they turned out alright in the end 😭 I mainly just wanted an excuse to draw my grumpy baby in a flower crown… and look at him. He’s so pretty it’s actually unfair 🥹🌸
Just a little Kinarby doodle because Darby is literally Kinro’s #1 fan XD. She’ll take ANY excuse to gush over him and turn it into a whole moment. Meanwhile, Kinro pretends to be all serious about it… but he secretly eats up every second of the attention XD

Also, the way that little middle piece of his hair is blowing to the side from Darby launching herself into his arms?? I’m unwell. Actually, no. I’m going to go cry for a minute out of the pure love I have for Kinro brb.💗

Sorry for the wait on providing content on them, and also sorry for bouncing around f/os so much lately 😭 my ADHD has been absolutely feral since I switched meds, so my brain has been hopping all over the place like it’s nothing. Anyway… lore dump time if you are all interested..
This is Darby, my Dr. Stone Oc 💥 She’s Ryusui’s adopted younger sister from America. Her parents were close friends with the Nanami’s, but after they died in a plane accident, Ryusui’s family took her in and raised her as their own. Ryusui is very protective of her, the confident older brother she never knew she needed. Darby is autistic, socially awkward, and lives almost entirely inside her own head. She daydreams constantly, gets lost in manga, fills notebooks with sketches and half-written stories, and often feels like the real world is just… too loud for someone like her. School was brutal for her. She struggled academically, got bullied badly for being weird, and eventually dropped out of high school with no idea what she was supposed to do with her life. Ryusui loved her and supported her as best he could, but even that wasn’t enough to pull her out of that stuck, hopeless feeling and out of her room where she never came out.
Then…petrification.
When the world turns to stone, Darby goes with it. And when Senku starts reviving people, Ryusui absolutely forces him into reviving his sister early. No negotiations. No excuses. His sister comes first. Darby wakes up in the Stone World completely disoriented… and almost immediately falls head over heels for Kinro. Not in a cool way. In a “he looks exactly like a manga hero I obsessed over as a child” way. She’s awkward, flustered, and clearly down bad from the start. What really gets to her, though, is his strength…his discipline, his sense of justice, his determination to protect people even when he’s scared. It inspires her. For the first time, she thinks ‘maybe I could be like that too’. So she asks Kinro to teach her how to fight and It’s… a process.
Darby is clumsy, weak at first, and gets discouraged easily but Kinro never gives up on her. He teaches her slowly, patiently, cheering her on even when she messes up. Through training, Darby finally figures out what she wants to do with her life. She wants to be a hero.
Yes, it’s dorky. Yes, she takes the word very literally. But for the first time, she feels like she has a purpose. She ends up excelling in her fighting training and ends up being an amazing fighter and takes down enemies easily with a sword. She may not look the fighter part but she is one of the most strongest fighters in Dr stone! :D
And…. Once she gained the courage, she very bluntly asks Kinro out on a date.
Cue: the most awkward first date imaginable.
Neither of them knows how to act since neither have them have actually been on a date before. There’s blushing and long silences and mutual internal panic. And to make it worse, Ryusui and Ginro are absolutely watching from a distance, being the worst possible nosy brothers in existence.
And that’s it. Just a dumb very Dr. Stone lore dump so you can get to know them better.

Also don’t ask why Kinro is in a gladiator suit… I forgot to change him last minute for the confession 😭😭😭 I was trying to give him a ton of outfits to max out his happiness and just… never switched him back. So now he looks a little ridiculous but we move 💔
