CASSAPRIL YURI REVIEW
this yuri is really underground indie stuff. barely anything in their tumblr tag so it was hard to get a grasp on it but thank goodness my best friends shippining wiki and rottmnt wiki were there to help me. frankly, im surprised this ship hasn't gone platinum since it's a fun dynamic and one step away from being canon. join me and watch this teenage mutant ninja turtle rise...

EVIDENCE 0.5 - THEY ARE DATING IN OTHER UNIVERSES
(BARE WITH ME HERE I KNOW THAT PHOTO IS OF A MAN AND WOMAN...)
you mean to tell me, tumblr user yurireviews, that in almost every other version of this story cassandra and april are dating/married/at least have some sort of feelings towards one another... but in the one version where cassandra is a WOMAN... they're just really good friends.. i am not falling for that! it's the coward's way out! if two characters fall in love every OTHER universe chances are they love each other in ROTTMNT... this point adds on atleast three extra yuri points before i even get into the actual show i'm talking about because come on... it's happened before it could very well happen again....
EVIDENCE 1 - They Have Similar Personalities
and it seems to be relevant to the plotline of the always be brownies episodes?? splinter outright tells casey that both her and april have difficulty reaching their goals and that casey shouldn't give up on hers cause april wouldn't.
they're both very energetic, lively people who are quick to jump into action or do what they personally believe is right. they both also have strong emotions & can't easily hide/mask who they are. the difference is that april appears to be more self-assured. if the turtles are being stupid she'll tell them they are, while casey is loyal to a FAULT because the situation she's in doesn't have a team dynamic. it's just 'we're your higher ups and you'll listen to what we say no matter what' and she goes along with it. splinter apparently helps her see that she deserves better than that but they do not have a whole lot of interactions outside of the always be brownies episode... HOWEVER! they are said to be closer friends/allies than casey with anyone else so that's something!
EVIDENCE 2 - FUN Dynamic in Theory!
cassandra's more uptight & strict and she's nerdier but has a more stereotypical bad-ass type persona than april does. she's also a reformed villain and april's a very forgiving person. april needs more friends that aren't turtles as her not being a mutant apparently causes her to feel as if she doesn't fit in. they ALSO started out as rivals which is always interesting - especially since their rivalry never was 'someone may die'-extreme. they would take each other seriously and be a good team together. personally i feel like ex-villain turned girl friend storyline is a lot more interesting than the other versions where casey is a dude cause that's really all he's bringing to the table. from what i can tell/remember from seeing episodes in passing was that he was just some guy? and apparently many saw his advances in the 2012 version as harassment so i feel like ROTTMNT cassapril is a HUGE step up which seems to be the common census.
also there's time travel (??) later on and april becomes friends with cassandra's kid which becomes funnier if she's dating his mom
CONCLUSION
short yuri review sorry since i can't find a lot of canon evidence of them together but i totally see it and honestly i think it should've happened!! a lot of people are intimidated by putting yuri in their shows because they're scared of me and know i'll be there so sorry about that.
it would've been so fun if they were canon.. the turtle nation could've had it all....
