If Lysithea earned a bit of gold whenever someone praised her for her "talent" with magic, she could perhaps open a school of sorcery within the Leicester Alliance that could rival Fhirdiad's Royal School of Sorcery. She hated hearing about how her skills were something innate within her, ignoring the hours she spent pouring over books and practicing on her own. She believed that anyone could achieve her level if they put in the same amount of effort as her. After all, magic could be learned by anyone, no?
So when a classmate approached the small girl asking for her to tutor them, Lysithea was ecstatic to offer her knowledge, and definitely not excited about the slice of cake they had brought just in case she refused to do so. With what little strength she had in her frail body, Lysithea brought over a stack of books that she personally believed helped her growth as a mage, slamming them onto the desk in front of her classmate.
"Alright!" Lysithea declared, grabbing a fork. "If you can read through all of these, then even without my personal notes you would be able to improve!"
She stabbed into the slice of cake, scooping up a small morsel and biting into it. For a brief moment her face was that of joy, as if tasting ambrosia of the gods. However, a small complaint from her classmate furrowed her pale brows into a frown. "Hey! No excuses! If you can't put in the effort to get better, then don't even think about getting anywhere near my level! Now get to reading!"
As her classmate began reading the text with a sigh, Lysithea sat beside them, continuously enjoying the cake with a big smile on her face. Strawberry shortcake, her favorite.
