HI HELLO friends bee here. live from the google docs and also discord. and going a bit. A Bit Insane. anyway. here are my incoherent rambley thoughts regarding will and derek and how they broke up

anyway. this post is what got me thinking about the lead up to will and derek's break up....and also. the wish you were sober references WHICH MAKE ME ABSOLUTELY <JAHDJSHFKJHHH anyway.

we know that no one will be consuming any alcohol in this fic - however, this does not mean they didn't consume it outside acswy's present timeline.

will woke up to water and ibuprofen on his bedside table.

what do these often go hand in hand with? HANGOVERS, PEOPLE. HANGOVERS.

anyway. me and wayli were discussing this and we think that the lead up to will ending up with a hangover could've been that derek (who is a year older than him, and will would've been a junior in high school at this point in 2021) invited will to the senior prom afterparty , (GORGEOUS REFERENCE. BTW.) where he inevitably got drunk and mike picked him up.

at which point, will and mike kissed in mike's car. for the second time (mike references in uh. one of the chapters i don't remember which one that he and will had kissed MORE THAN ONCE before their kiss in the isolation cabin. we know they kissed when they were 13...so....what was the other time...)

anyway. Anyway. don't know the details just yet because we haven't gathered enough evidence to make a clear conclusion but this is a basic speculatory timeline of events:

will goes to a senior prom after party with derek, probably at some point in may 2021 -> he gets drunk and tells mike to come pick him up -> wish you were sober references come in, THEY KISS -> camp starts in late may or june -> derek finds out about the kiss and breaks up with will in june/july 2021
