I retired long time ago from drawing warrior cats but I wanted to draw them again, their designs are based on how I imagined their designs due to what media I was consuming at the time which was a mixture of official manga by James L Barry and SSS Warriors.

how did Bluestar pick Rusty to join the clan?

Truthfully, it was just pure luck Rusty was simply the right age to be apprenticed, one of the first cats they encountered after their numbers had dwindled and Bluestar was already planning to take in newblood.

She and a few others were supposed to go out further and find rogues but ended up encountering Rusty instead.

Lionface sent out Greypaw for some experience in estimating his threat level, considering he was a kittypet but Bluestar was impressed at Rusty's reaction to what was considered a wild cat confronting him.

Maybe one day, I'll get to cementing that scene but for now, we're still canon compliant for the most part :]

“Silly” little headcanon I have for Fire and Ice:

The reason why Bluestar names Cloudkit and wouldn’t let Fireheart do it is because in her mind, a white kit has a very high chance of being named Snowkit. She. . . doesn’t think she can handle it.

And I know there IS a Snowkit, but I’m pretty sure he was birthed and named when Bluestar was already in a mental health spiral. And it’s not like she could rename him without major backlash from Speckletail.

oh yeah i’m back on my warriors shit. i think i once heard that one of Bluestar’s concept names was “Bluemoon” and like. I can run with it.

As opposed to “Bluefur” and “Snowfur”, Pinestar names them after their parents. “Bluemoon” (Moonflower) and “Snowstorm” (Stormtail).

In this AU, maybe Snowpaw had interacted with Stormtail more often after Moonflower died. That man is still a deadbeat father and didn’t do anything to actually help Snowpaw, but compared to Bluepaw, he was so much more involved with Snowpaw. And so, Pinestar names them accordingly.

edit: wait maybe i saw another post like this but it’s been such a hot minute so idk if i came up with bluemoon being named after moonflower or not (i had this concept written down in my notes for a while now) (i’m PRETTY sure snowfur -> snowstorm is original tho. maybe).
