You ever ponder that, Mr. Oil President?
Well, that’s a fresh perspective I had not considered. So… it’s my fault when you start throwing shit against the wall.
Every… mmm… single… time.
Tommy and Angela (S2. Ep1) @fxntasmagoria .

At least I'm well rested! Kinda.

(Day 6 - A rocky creature from the mountain path.)
Shinotite (Rock) may have a startling similarity to Alola’s Shiinotic, but they are far from related. They bury themselves underground to protect their geode interiors from the weather, only leaving the tops of their heads visible. Signs to not sit on the rocks are put up at the mountains they gather at. They are not too keen on being woken up. There have been cases where they will throw unsuspecting people off their heads, uncaring of where they land.
mild s/v spoilers, but i wanted to try my hand at the whole convergent evolution thing they introduced with wiglett and other pokemon. it reminded me of doing pokemon sprite edits when i was a kid-- specifically those retype edits!
while this fakemon is based on shiinotic-- a final evolution to a two-stage line, i actually imagine this to be the first stage of maybe a stone- or location-based evolution. while primarily based on geodes, i was also thinking of umbrella shaped rocks at the time and was the initial reason why i chose a shiinotic, with its umbrella shaped-cap (maybe that should be the evolution...)
when you get a bit of free time and you just get the urge to just. finish things. you look at that stack of books you bought three years ago and think "oh I could read through those." you look at your art projects you started a few months back and think "oh I could get those done." you look at the drawers you know are full of old papers from the high school you graduated from long enough ago that it felt like it mattered and you think "I could clear those out." part of you knows you can't finish any of that before you have new unfinished things to focus on but. the thought of wrapping up all the things you didn't get around to and not exactly getting a new start but rather an empty to-do list to start filling up always sounds nice
Ive been getting really really into reading about peoples speculative biology aliens a lot lately. I don't think I'd ever posted these even though I drew them quite a while ago, but here is a character I have named Xernys! He is a species called an Oreak (Or-EE-yack). The color drawing is pretty old and I changed the way their feet work, as I think they are primarily tree dwelling. The tail is prehensile and the small blue eyes are only sensitive to yellow light and reflect the unused color back (they shift slightly in different lighting). The face is comprised of two plates so they don't have facial expressions other than closing eyes and the soft flap of the cheeks. The jaw can unhinge like a snakes and their teeth are primarily used for holding on rather than chewing.
I wanna draw more stuff about him and the other aliens i've made forever ago :) Here is the original post I made OH GOD ALMOST 6 YEARS AGO with all the one's I have designed
I ended up scrapping one of them to be reworked. But i wanna! world build! I wanna! Speculate!!! So i will try and draw them more. They are a space delivery crew who get up to trouble. Thanks for reading my post if you read this far I love you
