drew this a tad ago but was too much of a foolish coward to post it but i have posted worse here so this is ok👍👍👍
Do we think Chris is still filming based on those quotes from the article? 👀
Not gonna lie I need to keep him.
Just have super medic John come back and save him, just like the others. I'll even let John stay on for a redemption as well, fuck it why not!
Let robron stay with their new spouses just to spite and piss off the other, but keep Kev happy and ALIVE!
I'm not on the vibe of Robron staying with their new spouse ghfdjsa
BUT I do vibe with both a John redemption (I want more Sugdens!) and keeping Kev (He keeps the last name in the divorce. He said I'm a Sugden now you can't get rid of me! Vic is MY sister too.)
Uhh post of smth old art stuff that im gonna upload before yall get redesign whiplash cause i kinda changed how i draw him
I simply must ask about the dragons lol. What do they look like? Are they intelligent? Do they have magic?
tagging @mk-writes-stuff bc they also sent in an ask abt the dragons :3
TW FOR DESCRIPTIONS OF ANIMAL(dragon? fantasy animal?) CRUELTY/DEATH
OKAY OKAY SO
In WITTTAL, the only way to acquire magic is by killing dragons and using their remains to cast spells (according to laws and the king and such, at least). Runes are carved into their bones, painted on altars in their blood, etc. The exact logistics of it very from region to region. There's actually a point where Rowan and Cas run into this cult that sacrifices dragons to the sun god with the belief that He is the one who grants them magic in return (i really need to give them a name smh T-T). It's brutal, it's gory, but it's the way things are. It's just a 'fact of life'.
Until Rowan comes along.
He always idolized mages, found magic to be this incredible, wonderous thing. But as soon as he learned about the details, shit happens, he runs away, a snowstorm comes, and he gets trapped in a cave trying to find shelter. That cave belongs to a dragon, an injured dragon. whom he could've easily killed and finally become a mage. But he didn't, he couldn't.
He bandages the dragon up, stays with it until it heals. And in return? it shows him how to do magic. He doesn't really get it at first, and it takes him a while to learn how to do it, but he does eventually. basically, dragons shed their scales when they feel safe, and those scales can be used to cast spells. They have drawbacks of course (chronic exhaustion, the scales losing their magic after extended use, etc), but its better than the alternative! Hey! You don't have to kill em! Does anybody know or care?
Nope! :3
OKAY NOW THAT THE GROSS SAD STUFF IS OUT OF THE WAY LETS TALK ABOUT HOW DRAGONS ARE BASICALLY JUST BIG SCALY KITTENS :DDDDDDD
They are intelligent, but only to the point where like dogs and wolves are, yk? They can hunt and communicate with each other somewhat and do magic themselves (somewhat) but they can't go up and have a conversation with you about the weather.
They're like... a mix of birds and cats. They need to preen their scales like birds do, but they act like giant cats. Mistrusting, doesn't really like people, but they will be all over you if you make them feel safe.
The life cycle is a bit awkward--they're super small in juvenile years, about the size of a modern day eagle (fun fact! Rowan wears a falconry glove most of the time because he learned the hard way that baby dragon talons are SHARRRRRPPPPPPPP), and SUPER BIG when fully grown.
There are different 'breeds' that reside in different areas of the world: ones that reside in snowy regions whose scales are more equipped to the cold, wet climate; fish-like ones that reside in the temperate seas near the coastal colonies, etc etc etc.
Tl;dr: dragons are silly lil guys who people kill bc they're too stupid to realize that they can just.... let them shed.
Thanks so much for the ask and and the yapping opportunity! Feel free to ask followup questions if any of this wasn't clear lol

Synopsis: Crosshair has anxiety after the batch settle down on Pabu. Hunter is there for him. Warnings: Anxiety, anxiety attack (not graphic nor bad) Please don't read if you feel you'll be triggered. Take care of yourself! Word count: 866 Prompt(s): "You're here. You're safe." / Late night beach walks / "It's too early for this." Read on Ao3
Pabu. To the locals it was home, a nice place most had lived their whole lives on. To the clones, it was safety, a promise away from war and its horrors.
But even though it was quiet and peaceful, it was almost too peaceful. Or at least that's what Crosshair's mind screamed at night.
Anxiety, Tech would say. The anticipation that something bad was going to happen even in a place deemed safe. Tech explained that since he went from Republic to Empire to Tantiss and then was dropped into Pabu life, there wasn't a slow ease into peaceful life. None of the batch had a 'slow' ease but it was slower than Crosshair. While he was skeptical of the reasoning, Tech was usually right.
Assassin's Creed HTTYD/Fury Dragon AU (i'm gonna call this Fury AU for now)
wanted to talk abizt this very dear AU of mine for ages so here we goooo
The General Idea:
Dragons (namely night and light furies... it's just them. only fury dragons here sorry) exist within the Assassin's Creed universe! They're considered remains of the Isu, and are a central part of Assassin life/culture, which considers them to be symbols of freedom.
The Templars are generally against dragons, and their teachings include the idea that dragons are inherently harmful and must be eradicated. Because of this the dragons are generally held in secret by the Assassins, many hideouts thus also functioning as dragon sanctuaries, and natural dragon sanctuaries doubling as possible hideouts.
Dragons and Assassin culture
Assassins who are born into the brotherhood are usually raised alongside dragons, or parents may take in a hatchling in hopes of bonding with their child.
"Bonding" is a major aspect of draconian assassin culture. There is no clear line as to what defines a bond, but generally a dragon and human are considered bonded once the dragon let itself be tamed and has been given a name by its human. More conservative members of the brotherhood consider only initiates, who have bonded with a dragon, full assassins.
Bonds are not necessarily lifelong, but it is generally frowned upon to try and bond with multiple dragons, or pick up a new bond after ones dragon died.
Many young assassins, or new initiates, try to bond with Light Furies, since those bonded to Light Furies were historically considered to make for better Master Assassins. A somewhat outdated view on things, that frequently leads to confrontation. While there is no official ruling against Night Furies doing field work, it is still fairly rare to encounter them during actual "front line" missions.
A little note on dragons genes in this AU: Night Lights do not exist, Night- and Light Furies do frequently breed together but their hatchlings are just either Night- or Light Furies.
Important dragons to know about
These are the dragons I already came up with for several AC characters :) I only have visual representations of the Light Furies cause I couldn't find a decent Night Fury base, but hopefully I'll make more edits (+ art) in the future! I used the standard female light fury model for all, regardless of gender.
These are Dusk- and Dawnchaser, Alataïr's and Kadar's dragons respectively. They are twins. They are both very protective over their humans, to the point that they're fairly dangerous even to well meaning friends.
Malik bonded with a Night Fury named Plainsworm, who lost his tail fin while trying to protect Malik in Solomon's Temple.
Then there's Flare, Ezio's dragon. She is a fierce fighter, and more often than not was in charge of keeping young Ezio out of danger. She's very intelligent and can easily express herself in nearly humanlike manners.
Windborne, formerly named Moonhawk, was Duncan Walpole's dragon up until his death, after which she quickly warmed up to Edward and hardly ever left his side. Windborne lost her parents early and grew up with little contact to other dragons, and thus developed "strange habits". She is of a very anxious character, and strongly prefers swimming and diving over flying.
Sheath, a very old dragon, formerly bonded to Achilles, then bonded to Ratonhnhaké:ton. They're more or less the "grizzly mentor" of dragons, tho after years of battles they've softened up and are much more friend and companion, than weapon.
Haytham bonded to a Night Fury he named Starbane, making him one of the few Templars who ever came in close contact with a dragon (and didn't immediately kill it).
Macehunter, Desmond's dragon. Desmond bonded with her when they were both still children, but over the years grew more and more reluctant to actually spend time with her, seeing her as part of the whole assassin life he'd rather leave behind. Macehunter is a very patient and loyal dragon, albeit fairly lazy. She loves to take a nap whenever possible, and spends days lying next to the animus, watching Desmond, and sleeping.
Macehunter has two Night Fury sisters, Shadelock and Beartongue, who bonded with Rebecca and Shaun respectively. Both are also fairly patient dragons.
Shadelock is nearly always decked out in some sort of mechanical gear Rebecca is screwing around with, tho she seems to have quite a lot of fun at shaking off her new "armor" or kicking over whatever cups she can find.
Beartongue has a fable for hoarding things, all type of things, fairly often that includes Becca's tools and Shaun's papers. She seems to be capable of understanding certain words, and has started her own game of sorts of hiding whatever seems to be of the most importance right now and will wait until someone starts searching for it, at which she'll pull it out and present it as if she just found it.
