"D-Do I...?" It wasn't exactly out of place for people in town to recognize her. A constant face, flitting out and about between her clinic, the market and the plant facility. Murmurs about the doctor who's always busy, but never too busy to lend a hand. To help with a bag, to tend to the children's scrapped knees and hunger pangs. Even without a face to put it to there are words, her name floating about, and a vague description.
Unbeknownst to her, however, her human charges are not the only ones that whisper and perk up at the mention of her, the memory. Filtering across the Plant space she is known. A kind face, a prevailing warmth and comforting presence as red lights meld back into blue and white. Pains eased, worries dashed, comfort and compassion given. As with humans so too Plants.
It may not even be clear enough for him — why the familiarity has struck. Perhaps not fully. But who is to say but him.
Mona's head tilts softly as she looks over the stranger before her. "You do too, I must say." But it's a different kind of recognition. Far less ethereal, and not so favorable on his part either. If only she could pin it down...
