Laughs is this a confession set up?
Iida loves his family from the bottom of his heart, and will do everything he can to support them and be someone they can be proud of. Part of why he admires Uraraka’s motivations for becoming a hero so much is because his family is what’s most important to him, so it’s heartwarming to him to see someone wanting to help their family out so much. Iida’s own family has a lot of money, so that kind of motivation isn’t something he’d have himself for being a hero, but holding up his family’s name and making his big brother proud is his ultimate goal.
As for someone aside from his family, he holds love in his heart for all civilians, which is a big part of why he wants to protect them all. He also has a sense of fondness *cough* love *cough* for his new ‘friends’ that he has as classmates. Iida’s a much more loving guy than one might think! Though he is a little oblivious as to his own feelings.
