Thoughts

Bare with me. Seems like just yesterday I was a totally different person.. Feels like a lifetime ago, but I'm glad. My world is so different now and consists of so many different paths, people, and new beginnings. This world has so much to offer that I was never open to. Sometimes, it takes heartbreak, a personal loss, or even just a slap in the face with reality before you see it, but it's there. Glad I figured it out way sooner rather than later. Some say i'm a bit of a pessimist, but those people are ignorant. Pessimistic and realistic are two completely different descriptions of someone. In my eyes, I'm a realist. I see things for how they are, no more thought than necessary on so many topics. I don't care what people think of me, or how I may appear to others. Truth be told, I dress up for myself, I do my hair and makeup for myself, and I do things to make myself happy and not because others want me to. Nor do I do things to impress people. I can honestly say i'm real. Anyone else?
