   “Go away.” Sitting up high in the branches of a tree, Griffin looped an arm around a limb for more support and pulled his knees up to his chest with the other, his back against rough bark. He wasn’t afraid of heights or falling. He was afraid of the woman standing on pine needles below him. Thankfully, Griffin was high enough in the tree that he was out of her reach. Of course, she might climb up, but Griffin was pretty confident in his ability to kick her out of the tree if she tried. “I know what you are, okay?” He batted a hanging pine cone out of his face and listened as it fell to the forest floor below. Judging by the sound, he was about fifteen feet up. Maybe a little higher. “I heard your heartbeat. Werewolf hearts beat faster than normal hearts. So you go do whatever you were doing and I’ll stay up here until you’re gone.”

Moby didn’t know what she was supposed to get. She’d been standing still where she was in front of the flowers almost five minutes already, staring back and forth between a few of her ... store load of options. Whatever she wanted, it wasn’t roses. Most of them smelled nice as far as she could tell... granted, they were a little hard to separate from the scent of wolf spreading out from the nearby counter.

                 the young boy held up his phone. new for its era, the first generation of apple devices. gifted to him by his step-mother. of course, an empty gesture, frivolous but USEFUL. held loosely in his fingers he flicked through notepads as the door of the florists shop chimed open. bells ringing, wyatt pushed passed its entrance with the backlight of his screen cascading across features. he did not look up right away. not to see where he was going or to greet the employees. instead he stared inquisitively at his lists and started to speak.                   ❛    hey, do you think-  you could help me ?   i’m looking for some pretty SPECIFIC flora  & i have no idea where to start    ❜          face turned upward, vision finally locating the adult girl who owned this store. he’d never been here before but he’d walked passed it quite a number of times. enough to configure it might be the best place to find the things he was needing.
