king canary was recovered from an aiguille vault, kept in stasis/frozen. celadon knew where and when to find aeschylus coming out of his sleeper pod, so likely she knew where to find king canary as well.

king canary was a hybrid worm - half hydragora, half mandragora. hydras have one eye/heart while mandras have two eyes/hearts. crimson was born with two mandragora eyes, both of which got cut out by good. she was only left alive cus of her third “defective” heart that good didn’t know about. so that’s like, 2.5 mandra, 1/2 something, and one basic human eyes/hearts (4 all together) for crimson, a human/mandragora hybrid.... the mandragora part seemed to win out over the human, but for a hydra/mandra hybrid, would it be more equal? like maybe one of each type of worm eye; or maybe hydra won at there being only one eye, but it was a mandra eye instead, with a “defective” hydra-ish second eye?

according to antony when speaking to dylan the reason he could become king canary’s heart and not just end up worm shit is cus king canary didn’t have a heart. this is likely the cause of his being “braindead”; king canary was just a hydragora body made to be controlled by a mandragora heart, which it no longer had. since it was a hydra body it had to still have it’s anchor point intact, so king canary still had some kind of hydra heart.

so when did his mandragora heart get taken out? was it evil mother when she took over his body? did the aiguilles take it before freezing him? did good or knife take it?

whose heart is kurt’s fork? we know who the spoon and knife are. hmm...

also, how does celadon know how to merge with/become a mandragora heart?

this got long, maybe i’ll save that for a different post...
