Theory : Why i think hans even with anna and elsa dead couldnt have won :
First lets look at the map and how close arendelle is from the southern isles , hans home with all his family is just in front of his new kingdom.
Lets get a look at the arendelle political situation at the end of frozen if hans had won :
- all arendelle royal dead , young 23 years prince hans 13 in line in his own kingdom who is apparently all arendelle has left , is king all alone at the head of the whole arendelle kingdom without a queen.
In the southern isles what we learn :
- hans father is an egocentric tyranical authorithrian man and all his son including hans are under his influence. They dont stand up for themselve and all look for his approval as the main goal of their lifes.
Just imagine hans family( that is know to not treat great hans ) reaction when they learn that hans is king of arendelle 😄 "Its been a long time since we saw hans ? Did he got lost in arendelle montain" " he is the new king now" " woa so hans is the new king of the kingdom in front of the isles the princess and the queen are dead ?" "Nice for him yes" "He is gonna make a great king hans" "Our baby brother is gonna be king alone of a kingdom what great news have you heard father ?""Oh yes really this is amazing i m so pround of him ! * 😄 i dont find that reaction realistic 😄 which is sad because hans except to make them stop understimate him and mocking him.
So : here a scenario that i think could have happen :
Hans is crown king by arendelle monarchy rules 😄 elsa is dead anna froze to death.😪
Days or weeks after two possibilites : the southern isles learn about hans being king or hans who has a so strong inferiory complex told them himself 😛 ( it was his plan "show them all")
The monarchy with the arendelle royal is gone and this is his own son alone that is king , the one that he hates the most by the way since it is say everything is about politic with the king of the southern isles he decide to took boats and go invade arendelle there is not any royal not a queen not a princess just his son so more easily to go invade the territory.😄
Hans is king he is the one that took decision in arendelle but just like i explain before we discover trying to explore his backstory that his father has so much influence powers and impact on his way of thinking , he is so emotionally dependant on him and the king is even more manipulative that hans (this is even reveal in a frozen heart that hans use what his father has told him about manipulation) that the king suceed making hans abandon his dream to be king without wars. (But even with a wars i think this is possible the king could have takes arendelle 🤔)
So here the new kingdom of the southern isles 😄
Finally hans has just makes himself a bigger home that before except from the fact that his father may maybe hates him a little less than before and he see his brothers less than beofre.
So i think it is a possible alternate version of this scenario 🤔.
