I really love all your Elena of Avalor family analyses where you figure out what features someone has inherited from their parents! I was wondering if you could do one for Princess Caterina, and her parents King Joaquín, and Queen Teresa, please?

Their family is a bit difficult for me since we never saw a closer look of Teresa's face. Anyway, it's still possible to see the details!

I think Caterina resembles her mother a lot! They both have a round face, similar eyebrow and eye (although, Caterina is a child, so hers are bigger) shape. Plus, I believe they also have similar noses and lips.

From Joaquin she inherits only the eye colour. He has pretty big facial traits, like wide eyebrows, big nose and lips, while Caterina's face looks much softer.

Caterina'a hair color and skin tone are slightly lighter than her parents', though, I think it's closer to Teresa's.

Anyway, I also rewatched "Sugar Rush", and there, Caterina's skin looks even lighter. Though, I suppose it's just a lighting since animation in season 3 is lighter and smoother in general than in season 1.

It's difficult to say anything of Caterina's height or body structure since she's just a little girl, but both Joaquin and Teresa are pretty tall, and she actually looks kinda skinny, so I suppose she might resemble her mother when she's grown up.

Thank you again for the ask! I honestly never gave enough attention to Joaquin's family, but it really was fun to analyze them!

yeah i remember sweet pea acting more or less like that towards jughead when he went to southside high and didn't want to sit with the serpents... i wonder why joaquin singled out that one ghoulie to hurt tho? was it just bc he's the ghoulie leader in jail? maybe he knew archie wouldn't do it or he's got a bone to pick w/ a northsider getting sent to juvie for (as far as he knows) shooting a guy when the serpents got arrested for a riot they didn't even start...

I didn’t really think about why Joaquin picked that particular Ghoulie. I guess these kinds of things happen all the time in juvie and he just picked some random person. I mean they beat Archie up to get his shoes. There are rival gangs in there, and it’s a bunch of teenage and young adult guys locked together. I guess beatings and stab wounds happen almost every day. And yes I felt like Joaquin was pissed off because Mr All American, as he called Archie, came to juvie, blessed by FP with a new Serpent tattoo and thought he would get the Serpent’s protection just like that, while every other Serpent had to go through the initiation, had to spend years working for the Serpents, selling drugs, getting into fights with other gangs, or in Joaquin’s case even helping cover up a murder and having to flee town.

And another reason was probably that Joaquin has to do this. He is the leader of the Serpents in juvie, he cannot show any sign of weakness I think, or someone else will take his place. If he had made an exception for Archie, both Joaquin and Archie would have been in more danger afterward.

Brown Eyes edits, part 1: Doña Paloma, King Joaquin, Princess Cat, Luisa, and Antonio Agama

I mentioned a while back that I wished more EOA characters had brown eyes, so I made some edits to see what they’d look like. My personal favorite in this set is Doña Paloma, what do you all think?
