Petros: I firstly would like to offer my sincere apologies.

Jonas: Oh…

Petros: For the way I treated you when we last met. 

Jonas: Oh?

Petros: Frankly, I was rude. It came from a place of concern- for Tartosa, and for Phoebe. But that doesn’t excuse my behavior.

Jonas: I’m sorry, Sir, I don’t understand.

Petros: I like you, Jonas. I think we work well together, and I will always be grateful to you for your actions that saved Tartosa during the war. But I let my fears for how the public would react to an engagement between you and Phoebe cloud what I already know to be true- that you are a good, kind, honorable man. And like my lovely wife reminded me, your Windenburg is not your father’s Windenburg.

Jonas: I… Thank you, Sir. That means a lot.

Althea: Get on with it, Petros, the poor boy is waiting so patiently.

Petros: Right, yes, sorry. All of that is to say- I think we’ll need both of our PR teams to work together to handle this very carefully, but… Althea and I would be honored to call you our son.

Phoebe: Oh my goodness! It’s beautiful! 

Jonas: Beautiful setting for a beautiful woman.

Phoebe: *blushing* Stop.

Jonas: Let’s sit down, I'm sure you’re starving.

Phoebe: I am actually, thank you.

Phoebe: So what’s all of this for? What’s the occasion?

Jonas: I just wanted a really special night for us before I go back to Windenburg. A special night to say "goodbye for now."

Phoebe: Do you really have to go so soon?

Jonas: Unfortunately yes, I’ve pushed it as far as I can as it is. I’ve had Captain Finlay calling and emailing nonstop today.

Phoebe: Then let’s forget Captain Finlay and everything else and enjoy this stunning night you planned for us.

Jonas: I think that’s a good plan.

*an hour or so later, after finishing dinner*

Phoebe: So what’s next on the agenda?

Jonas: Oh, nothing, that was it.

Phoebe: You’re kidding.

Jonas: Yes, I am *laughs* Come on, follow me.

Phoebe: Where are we going?

Jonas: Just right here, because there’s something I’ve been wanting to ask you for a while now.

*Jonas drops on one knee*

Phoebe: You’re not- !

Jonas: Phoebe Althea Kalogera, I love you so much, and have loved you since the day I first set eyes on you. You hated me then, and I don’t blame you, but I have loved you from the start. You have been a light in the darkest times- the war, the loss of my sister, my sudden ascension to the throne, the weight of responsibility I bear for my nieces- you’ve been there for me through it all. I know I couldn't have gone through all of that without you, so tonight, I make you a promise that I will be there for you through all things, support you and love you through all things, if you will do me the honor of accepting me. This isn’t the first time I’ve proposed, you know that, but it is the first time I’m proposing for myself, and for the woman I love, and not to please someone else. This is just about you and me. I love you Phoebe, will you marry me?

Phoebe: *crying* Yes, yes obviously I will, yes!

Official Engagement Announcement for Jonas and Phoebe

It's official! Windenburg and Tartosa are tying the knot!

Of course, we all saw those sneaky pictures some paparazzi on boats were able to capture last week of King Jonas Lofton getting down on one knee to ask his girlfriend, Princess Phoebe Kalogera, to marry him! But know we have official confirmation from both Thebe Palace in Tartosa and Winden Palace in Windenburg!

The newly engaged couple have captivated royal watchers since their relationship was leaked to the public because of it's scandalous nature and seemingly impossible origins.

The pair met when HM King Jonas (then only Prince Jonas) was sent to hold Tartosa as a territory for his father, the Ex-Emperor Victor, while working as a double agent for HIM Tsarina Ekaterina of the Simsdom Empire. They should have been enemies- but instead, a love blossomed in the tumultuous times. Now they're mending a rift between their two nations and forging a brighter future for both Windenburg and Tartosa.

HM proposed with a stunning Tartosa Sapphire ring, surrounded by tiny pearls, that he designed himself for his beloved- not from the royal vaults of either nation! We have to say, we love it! It's perfect!

Any royal wedding is gonna be a huge deal- but a wedding of a King? Marrying the eldest Princess of another nation? Now that's huge, traditional, and oh so exciting!

We can't wait to see the star-studded affair and all the foreign nobles and royals walking into that church! Congratulations King Jonas and Princess Phoebe!
