Jonas: And, ta-da!

Phoebe: Oh my goodness! It’s beautiful! 

Jonas: Beautiful setting for a beautiful woman.

Phoebe: *blushing* Stop.

Jonas: Let’s sit down, I'm sure you’re starving.

Phoebe: I am actually, thank you.

*they sit*

Phoebe: So what’s all of this for? What’s the occasion?

Jonas: I just wanted a really special night for us before I go back to Windenburg. A special night to say "goodbye for now."

Phoebe: Do you really have to go so soon?

Jonas: Unfortunately yes, I’ve pushed it as far as I can as it is. I’ve had Captain Finlay calling and emailing nonstop today.

Phoebe: Then let’s forget Captain Finlay and everything else and enjoy this stunning night you planned for us.

Jonas: I think that’s a good plan.

*an hour or so later, after finishing dinner*

Phoebe: So what’s next on the agenda?

Jonas: Oh, nothing, that was it.

Phoebe: You’re kidding.

Jonas: Yes, I am *laughs* Come on, follow me.

Phoebe: Where are we going?

Jonas: Just right here, because there’s something I’ve been wanting to ask you for a while now.

*Jonas drops on one knee*

Jonas: Phoebe Althea Kalogera, I love you so much, and have loved you since the day I first set eyes on you. You hated me then, and I don’t blame you, but I have loved you from the start. You have been a light in the darkest times- the war, the loss of my sister, my sudden ascension to the throne, the weight of responsibility I bear for my nieces- you’ve been there for me through it all. I know I couldn't have gone through all of that without you, so tonight, I make you a promise that I will be there for you through all things, support you and love you through all things, if you will do me the honor of accepting me. This isn’t the first time I’ve proposed, you know that, but it is the first time I’m proposing for myself, and for the woman I love, and not to please someone else. This is just about you and me. I love you Phoebe, will you marry me?

Jonas: It's an honor to meet you all.

Daphne: *whispered to Phoebe* Ooh, he’s kinda cute.

Phoebe: *whispered back* Don’t be ridiculous, Daph, he’s an intruder trying to steal our home from us. He’s nothing more than an ass.

Althea: *whispered to daughters* Hush, you two. Phoebe, watch your mouth.

Petros: *to Jonas* We were given instructions for the whole family to greet you, and to be ready to accommodate your soldiers… Who I don’t see…

Jonas: My father has a flair for the dramatic. His soldiers have been instructed by me to set up a camp on the beach where we landed, they will not be infiltrating your home, you can have my word on that.

Phoebe: We don’t know you. How can we trust your word?

Jonas: Very true, Your Royal Highness. I’ll have to prove that I mean it, and strive to earn your trust.

Daphne: *whispered* Aww, he wants to “earn your trust”

Phoebe: *whispered* Shut up.

Jonas: Your Majesties, you have a beautiful home. Just the walk up here took my breath away. I swear on my honor that I, and my father’s soldiers, will not leave this place worse than we found it. I’m in awe of your island’s beauty.

Petros: Beg your pardon, but “leave,” sir?

Jonas: Ah… I would like to have a word with you in private, Your Majesty, if you don’t mind.

Petros: I… of course. We can go through here to my office.

Jonas: Wonderful, thank you-

Althea: Excuse me… King Jonas-

Jonas: Just Jonas, is fine, Your Majesty.

Althea: Very well. Jonas, where will you be staying?

Jonas: I had planned to stay in camp with my father’s soldiers, I don’t want to inconvenience you.

Petros: No, sir. My wife has had a room with a stunning view made up for you. You will stay here in the palace.

Phoebe: Bampás! (Papa!)

Jonas: I thank you for the invitation, and gladly accept. And I’m afraid you’ll have to excuse me, I just started learning Greek on the journey over here so I really don’t know much of anything beyond geia (Hi) *laughs awkwardly*

Phoebe: Absolutely not. I can’t believe Papa is just letting this happen.

Daphne: Well, if you’re not interested, maybe I’ll have a go.
