CHARACTERS
Tim – Timothée Chalamet
David– David Michôd, director of “The King”
Joel – Joel Edgerton, co-writer and co-star
Scene: Outdoors in a bucolic setting. Still in Budapest? I have no idea.
David: (speaking to Joel) “Tim’s on fire this week! Have you seen him? He’s getting everything on the first take!”
Joel: “Yeah! His work ethic is outstanding! He’s like a man possessed!”
David: “Not wasting any time at all! Gets to the set early, leaves late...a true role model for the others.”
Joel: “I even saw him helping out the caterers yesterday. I said ‘Tim, you know you don’t have to do that right?’ And he was like, ‘Oh I want to! Whatever gets things moving along quickly!’ Just incredible!”
David: “He must have a pretty little number waiting on him back home!”
Joel: “I asked him actually! I said ‘Timmy boy! What’s goin’ on? You got some leggy blonde waiting for you back in New York?!?’ And he kind of blushed and said, ‘Umm...sorta. You could uh, say that.’ And then he more or less ran away.”
David: “Mysterious kid. Very...unique.”
Joel: “Kid’s got secrets.”
Tim flies by on a horse with a fierce look of determination.
Joel: (pointing and whispering) “Lookit ‘im go!!”
David: “Did you watch his swordfight yesterday? He was in the zone!”
Joel: “Nah, missed that. But I saw him helping the crew load stuff into the trucks last night. He was even lending a hand to the boom operator now that I think of it!”
Tim jumps off his horse like a seasoned pro and yells "What’s next?!” to no one in particular.
