King's Unused Execution - Dead Man's Hand
ooc: been meaning to write this up for a while, it's been in my head since the beginning and I need to get it out of my system so here you go!
---
The lights dim as Monobear hits the big red button in front of him. A long chain with a manacle shoots out from the wall towards King. Before he can move out of the way the manacle clamps around his neck and he's dragged into the darkness.
There's brief silence in the courtroom until a large television screen comes to life. On the screen, you see King in what seems to be a western saloon. His arms and legs are shackled to the chair he's seated in, sitting before a large, circular table. Around the table are life-size plush dolls made out to look like King, all similarly shackled to their chairs. King's eyes dart around the room before glancing down at the table: there is a large pile of poker chips in the center of the table. The same five card hand is down in front of King and all the King dolls: two Aces, two eights, and a fifth card face down.
King seems to recognize the hand in front of him and his eye twitches nervously. He moves his arms around, struggling a little bit against the shackles, before the sound of boots stomping and spurs clinking are heard. Behind King the saloon doors swing open, revealing Monobear dressed up like a cowboy. He pulls a six-shooter revolver out of the holster and twirls it in his paw, laughing as King's eyes widen.
Monobear begins to circle around the table, putting the revolver to the back of King's head first, then one of the dolls, then another doll, almost like he's playing Duck Duck Goose. He finally puts the revolver against one of the dolls and pulls the trigger. The King doll's head explodes in a burst of fluff as King begins to struggle harder against the manacles.
Monobear continues circling the table, knocking off more of the dolls. Boom. Boom. With each gunshot King's breath quickens and he tries harder and harder to escape. Boom. Boom. Boom. Monobear offs each doll, one by one, adding more and more fluff to the table until finally all the dolls are decapitated and only King is left.
The cowboy Monobear ends the circle and places the revolver against the back of King's head. King closes his eyes, his face calm aside from a lone bead of sweat that trickles down his nose. He waits for Monobear to pull the trigger, which he does: Click.
The six-shooter revolver is empty. Monobear pulls the trigger again, and again, and again. Click click click. Finally the bear throws the revolver down and stomps back out of the saloon, the door squeaking as he leaves. It isn't until Monobear is completely gone that King opens first one eye, then the other. He waits, not daring to breath. Has the bear gone? Did Monobear mess up the execution? Suddenly the shackles on King's wrists and ankles click open. King rubs them and stands up, awkwardly. He looks around, unsure. What's going on?
Worried this is a trap, King takes one hesitant step towards the saloon door, before the cards on the table draw his attention again. Despite wanting to get out of the saloon as quick as possible, his attention is diverted and he can't help but wonder: what's the last card? The poker player steps back to the table and lifts up the face down card, turning it over.
He squints. It's a face card: Monobear's face in the center, with clubs all around it. The Monobear of Clubs. King frowns. This isn't a regular card. He sets the card back on the table and turns to go again, but is suddenly confronted by the cowboy Monobear who has stealthily reappeared behind King, holding a giant wooden club behind his back.
King only has a brief moment of surprise before Monobear swings the giant club into his head, knocking him to the ground. He begins viciously beating the poker player with his club as other Monobears with clubs begin streaming into the saloon and joining in on the beatdown. King tries to yell out, but his voice is drowned out by the sickening sounds of the giant mass of Monobears smashing him with their weapons over and over and over again until nothing is left of his body but a disgusting, pulpy mess.
