Byron and I were walking down the town in Stein. It was my off day and Giles requested me that I should visit Stein.
The town was lively. There were children running around and people going to work. I smiled at the faces at the children, remembering when I was younger.
Suddenly Byron said something that I snap back into the present. “I’m sorry?”
“The restauraunt. I heard it was open not to long ago. Want to try it?” Byron pointed at the small restaurant right across the corner.
I nodded, “sure.”
When we got there, Byron requested the seat near the window. Before we got to the seat, I overheard murmurs from people of the surrounding.
“Is that King Byron?”
“Oh my goodness, it is him!”
“He looks so handsome…”
Even though people knew King Byron for a while now, still they were curious about their King.
We didn’t stay long when the town’s people started the crowded outside of the window.
Suddenly I saw a young boy with oink hair darted around the town. “Byron, is that… Nico?”
Byron turn to where I was looking, “It does look like him.”
He stood up and walked out of the restaurant to see Nico. Then a few moment, Byron came back. “Apparently, Albert need us back to the castle. He said it’s urgent.”
We arrived at the castle where Albert greeted us.
“Your majesty,” Albert bowed. “Your highness.”
“What is it that is so urgent?” Byron asked.
Albert look uncomfortably toward me before he face Byron again. “There was a message from Wiceinad.”
That’s a urgent message? I couldn’t stop think how upset I was. Ruining our date.
“Let’s talk more in private?” Albert continued.
Byron nodded and took my hand.
“If possible,” Albert interrupted. “Talk about with just you, Nico and I.”
Byron looked at me and I forced a smile. “Go on. And come back as soon you’re finish.”
Byron smiled and kiss me on the forehead, “Of course.”
I watched as Byron, Nico and Albert disappeared around the corner. I sighed and walked back to Byron’s room. Today is suppose to be a relaxing day. How did it come to this?
While staying at Byron’s room, every second felt like forever. I try thinking about the wedding in which will happen in a few days. But then I got bored and decided to go to the library.
On my way there, I overheard voices in Byron’s office.
“You’re majesty, I think you misunderstood what the letter is trying to ask you,” I can easily tell the voice belongs to Albert.
“Oh? What is it trying to ask me?” The voice belong to Byron, asked.
“Wiceinad wants to unite with Stein,” Nico said.
“In another words,” Albert paused. “ King of Wiceinad wants his daughter to marry to the King of Stein.”
