I’m just gushing over the idea of The King (whom I’m gonna call Romulus in this post) just feeling that it’s necessary to treat and pamper everyone.
Like while he doesn’t quite like so much attention, imagine that Virgil is just a little more on edge lately and Rom decides to scoop up the emo and find a distraction for a little while. He’ll caress him and rub circles into his back and his fingers over Virge’s knuckles and put him around a bunch of soft things and make bad puns and make him laugh because he knows what Virgil likes. He offers fast food and heating pads and weights blankets and attention. The two even have their own deep conspiracy theories that they discuss.
Imagine that Patton is feeling particularly dangerous with a second cookie to take his mind off of things and Romulus brings him a whole basket of assorted cookies, oatmeal raisin especially as his own little treat. He pulls the father figment aside to shower him in cuddles and passionate kisses and small puppies. He wraps him in fuzzy blankets and conjures cocoa for them and they watch movies together for hours until Paton falls asleep amongst the softness of the King’s bed.
Additionally, what if Logan is done working for the day and the king makes it his mission to pull the nerd into his room to drape him in jewels and fancy clothes and dance with him until he’s dizzy. Imagine that Logan may protest that he’s not fit for Royal material but doesn’t mind the teasing affection he’s given for hours. The various cakes and finger foods and wine would be too much of an assortment to turn down in Logan’s taste. The cakes were dipped in crofters after all.
And when Romulus finds his snake in the kitchen, he doesn’t hesitate to spin him around and kiss him hard. Deceit allows Romulus to bring him to the King’s room and can’t help but smile when the King offers an evening of spa treatment. The two bathe together within a bathroom lit with candles and the floor scattered with peculiar black rose petals. Romulus lets deceit try on new outfits to his hearts desire and treats him to chocolates and wine much like Logan. They do their nails and a face mask and style their hair. They watch movies and eat a bunch of food and deceit couldn’t ask for anything better than the many gifts Romulus likes to surprise him with.
But a certain host is left to wonder what it’s like to have such a man who will treat you so well and grant your every desire when you’re not feeling so great.
But even the King knows his host is perfect in every way and he wants to cherish that of course. He lets Thomas into his room and offers him small gifts and flowers. He lets Thomas play in a cage of small animals and watches him giggle to his ever most adorable extent. He cares for his host, draping him in jewels for only for a god and worshipping his body for hours. Thomas, being a fairly simple man, merely ends the night with cuddles, but Romulus has no problem with that....
