A Rough Visit // Leonardo and Gothel
She had gone to the palace to see Rapunzel. It had been somewhat rude of her, sure, coming unannounced like this, but Gothel needed to see her. She wanted to see Rapunzel and thank her for her Christmas gift personally and perhaps talk her into coming to the wedding.
Of course being the fiancee of a Grand Duke, limitations were slowly being placed on her. For example, technically she wasn't supposed to leave the palace without an escort. However, Gothel never listened to that rule. She also had to dress "appropriately", one of the finest dresses Theodore had given her, along with an unfortunate corset and ribbons in her hair, which she loosened. The maids always did them so tightly.
However, when she arrived, no one would tell her where Rapunzel was. Then another palace servant told her to wait in a room downstairs. It seemed like a nice place to sit and have tea although Gothel simply felt uncomfortable. The unnerving silence, the anxiousness to see Rapunzel, the uncertainty of not knowing whether or not that servant had placed her here with no intention of speaking to Rapunzel whatsoever. Though at the time, Gothel didn't realize how much worse her situation could get.
