Okay, you get a long reply, because this is a slightly complicated topic for me personally! Only slightly, but still just that little bit. Delving in under the ReadMore!

Fiiiiiiirst, confession: I have never....been on a date. I know, I know, I'm in my mid-twenties, it's a little late for that, but it's true. See the whole "Scorpios are number 2 on the list of most likely to fall for someone they cannot have" thing in the original post. I've never been on a date, never been kissed/kissed anyone (DAMN do I wanna know what that's like), never been in a relationship. I've been asked out a couple of times, but they were:

A guy I know for a fact stalked two of my friends.

A guy I concretely knew I was not compatible with (we're still good friends).

(a and b) Two guys who saw me waiting tables on separate occasions and decided to ask me for my phone number. I wasn't even waiting on them, which I could totally understand. I had no interaction with them whatsoever until they asked for me to come to their tables. One guy stared at me whenever I walked by or was anywhere near, to the extent of staring at the back of my head, and interrupted me when I was picking up drinks at the bar to strike up a conversation (trust me, it was clear I was working). The other had his grandfather give me his card (a used-car repair shop) and told me to be careful about calling because the other guy on the card who ran the shop with him was a perv. I told both that if they came in to the restaurant and requested me, I could chat with them and get to know them some and then I might consider it. Neither ever came back.

My supervisor in a work environment. Did not technically ask me out, but admitted feelings for me and that he'd thought I reciprocated. (We're on good terms.)

My female roommate who scared me and was a horrible experience living with after I told her I was only into males.

A very drunk man in his 40s/50s at a bar who invaded my personal space repeatedly and pulled on my earrings.

I think that's about the list. So, yeah. I'm not the kind of person who goes for casual sex, and I've never really been in a situation where I'd have it. So that's the first reason.

Secondly, I personally made a promise to save sex for marriage. I know not everyone does that, but it's the right choice for me personally. I don't care if someone I were to date has had sex, as long as he respects that I want to wait. By the same token, while I'm not sure it would work out in the long run because I know myself pretty well on this front, I would respect someone I wound up in a relationship with who didn't want to ever have sex. I'd never ask them to change their opinion on that to suit me, but that might not work out. And yeah, my commitment to waiting is a religious/faith thing. Hi, yes, I'm a Christian. But that doesn't make it any more or less valid than another's commitment or decision not to commit. It's just a thing.

Last note: I look forward to finding out just how great it is. I reeeeeeally do. I want to know what kissing and all the things that go with sex and a relationship are like very badly. I'm not phobic of it by any stretch, just....waitin'. ^_^
