          he should know better than to go poking his head around places he’s not familiar with but, unfortunately, he does just that. perhaps it’s simply in his nature at this point to explore new places as they’re discovered, since he’s got plenty used to doing so. fortunately, this abandoned research lab doesn’t seem to have any crazy inhabitants to attack him ─ that he knows of. so far, he’s not quite found anything of interest . . . he hasn’t yet ventured into many rooms, worried about what he might come across. kaito’s starting to feel uneasy, becoming jumpy at any noise in the distance. not because he’s scared, or anything, of course! a hero simply needs to know when his time is done in a location, he tells himself... 

kaito swallows, deciding it’s about time he head out. except . . . he’s not quite sure which way he came in. he starts with retracing his steps ─ nothing should have changed too quickly ─ before he stops dead in his tracks. he swears he hears a noise, head inching around to follow to the source. the color drains from kaito’s face as a door swings open behind him and a figure manifests behind. immediately, taken by surprise, kaito jumps back with a squeal, holding his hands out before him. it’s too dim to make out that the figure is indeed a person and, since he’s already on - edge from the strange noises he’s been hearing deeper in the facility, it’s not easy to think clearly. 

“ shit! sorry, sorry! i’m leaving right now, i swear! you don’t gotta eat me or nothin’, i promise i don’t taste good! ”

she is not stupid, max knows that @kingscharm cares. however, the redhead has slowly been pushing everyone that cares about her away. neil has been more of an asshole than he ever has been and susan has turned to drinking an excessive amount of alcohol. max's dream about having a family is tainted with abuse, death and disappointment. " the last person who had the responsibility of looking after me ended up bleeding out. " the skateboarder wishes that she would have reacted differently at the battle of starcourt. perhaps, she believes that she could have saved her brother. " you should go back to dustin and lucas, they need you more than i do. "

had the shitty beer not run out,      there was no question that tara would still have been hidden away from the rest of hawkins THE WORLD in that old cabin in the woods.      her sister , her big freaking sister , was DEAD.      the only good thing that came out of her family was GONE and she was left with what   ––   her MEMORIES ?      no , not even they brought comfort.      only a deep rooted ache that only seemed to be dulled as long as she kept ingesting some sort of vice.      feet stumbled as she walked along the side of the road into town , eyes red from a mixture of CRYING and EXHAUSTION not even catching sight of   [ @kingscharm ]   steve harrington ahead.      not at least , until her unsteady and intoxicated self seemed to TRIP over a damn rock right in front of him.      ❛   fuck !   ❜

used to suburbs and the urban cities, nature was an unknown to aoko. she’s been to the forests before, but it never was this ... hm. aoko’s not sure how to put it-- could nature ever be unkempt when that was its natural state? the overgrowth feels unwelcoming than the forests she used to play in before, and it makes her hesitate. 

would monsters lurk here? she’d known all her life that monsters were just fictional, but look at this place! there were so many monsters and bad people! it was like she was in a fantasy rpg game. there were reasons why games should stay as games!

she can tell, that his place originally wasn’t a place for wild nature, but rather more cultivated-- the remains of statues and gardens tell her so. being new to koi, she’s not too familiar with the legends. but she wonders what disaster had happened here. 

what kind of calamity...? 

her fingers gently swipe away moss to try and read the plaques of the statues, but they were far too worn. how old were these..? trying to stare into the statue’s face, weather having worn away its features. hmm... she could draw a moustache on it.

she giggles a little, freezes when she feels someone... something approaching her, and immediately hides behind the statue! 

“Who’s there?”
