“If I said I wasn’t happy about this, I’d be lyin’. Welcome back, stranger.”
continued from [x] @kingshixld
After managing to distract the two with a stop at the downtown arcade, Ignis returns back to Noctis’ apartment. Though he doesn’t quite understand their reasoning behind it, he quickly saw through their excuse of buying educational material; especially when it simply seemed more like a typical outing. Ignis has a schedule to keep and with the brown paper bag in one arm, he used his free hand to open the door.
Instantly, he’s assaulted by the acrid scent of burnt ingredients. ‘Oh Astrals, did Noct leave the stove on again?!’ Nose scrunching, Ignis quickly makes his way towards the kitchen to find his comrade preparing... is that pasta? Before words could leave him, chaos unfolds, sending smears of red across the cabinets and floor. He feels a headache drumming behind his eyes.
Not supposed to be here? And in that moment, Ignis is able to connect the dots; realization dawning upon his face. But what is the occasion? Never mind, he has more pressing matters at hand.
“Yes, so it seems.” Discerning gaze takes in the mess of a kitchen (he just cleaned it the entire apartment last night) as a sigh spills forth, mirroring Gladiolus’.
Placing the bag of groceries and his briefcase down on an unsoiled area of the room, Ignis quickly grabs for the nearest apron. Just how much food was wasted in the hours that he was gone? There’s a mental note to take inventory of the kitchen once they are done.
“Let us first begin with cleaning this up. And you can explain yourself while we do, Gladio.” Rag and heavy duty, all-purpose cleaner in hand, Ignis begins the arduous task of re-cleaning the kitchen.
“i have to end this now before it escalates into you being hurt.” /cackles

To say that Tifa had not been expectingthis would be untrue and imply an ignorance about Gladiolus’sdisposition that could only have been willful, which was certainlynot the case. She had known for some time that this was coming. Infact, she’d known almost instinctively, from the first time thatthey’d kissed that this would end badly- and even that it wouldprobably be worse for her than it would be for him.
🔥 the chocobros. or just whatever if nothing on them lol
SEND MY MUSE AN OUTFIT YOU WANT THEM IN. “I WANT TO SEE YOU IN A _____”
//Ehmmmmm.
I actually didn’t care for Lunafreya at first? Like through the entire game until she died I was so confused as to why so many people liked her.
I mean my thoughts changed after I watched Kingsglaive, but overall in the actual game her character was VERY lacking by itself. Since I didn’t watch Kingsglaive until after I finished the game, I didn’t understand the hype of why people really enjoyed her character.

They say when you die, your life flashes before your eyes. If that was the case then Ignis seriously had some regrets. There were many things Ignis would change, if he had been given the chance to. There was only one he could think of right now, he would have told Gladio much earlier how much he loved him. That was at the forefront of his thoughts right now. He recalled all the years they'd know each other, how many years he danced around the idea and never said anything. There were the years he had wondered if Gladio even noticed him and then the years of accidentally having Clarus find out before Gladio. He remembered how he'd been banned from the Amicitia household after that, never telling Gladio about it. He'd made up excuses why he couldn't visit, even now he hadn't yet told Gladio about that. Memories seemed to flash forward to a night when they were still young, barely twenty and together at a bar. Gladio had been looking at him the whole night, he remembered that much and he remembered the feel of Gladio's lips upon his as well. It had been a drunken kiss that neither of them had ever spoken of again. Ignis wasn't even sure Gladio would ever remember it.
More memories came, times of just being in each others company, small touches and big smiles. Oh how he loved Gladio's smile. How he missed the way his eyes would shrink as his cheeks seemed to take the whole smile. It had always been goofy to him before but now he wished once more to see it. He wished he had told Gladio about his love before the trip, had told him before everything fell apart. It had taken him losing his eye sight to finally tell Gladio about his love. He'd been so lost then, so scared and when Gladio had held him protectively he had blurted it out. It had been the worst time to say it then. He knew he had been the reason for the feud that followed, he knew he had messed with Gladio's head by telling him then. Even blind Ignis could have known the conflict that ran in those beauiful amber eyes he'd never see again. He had been selfish though, for one of the first times in his life.
Ignis knew the moment that Gladio had returned the feelings, that Gladio would try everything to protect him and he had liked it until he saw what had come from it. It was another thing he regretted. If they hadn't have fought, maybe they would have been strong enough to take Ardyn, maybe they would have more time to think of a plan, anything. He knew that those things wouldn't matter, Noctis' fate was sealed but he blaimed himself.
For ten years he'd tried to make amends. For ten years he had tried to get better, to become more then he ever was for the others and mostly for Gladio. He wanted to make up for all the time lost and stupidly he believe in the bliss of their ten year affection. How foolish he had thought that their story could end happily.
Memories flashed of Noctis' return, dark memories of just voices and no pictures and now he was in the present once more. He was back to running towards Gladio. There were too many deamons now but what happened here didn't matter. As long as Noctis was safe, as long as light was returned they would succeed. that was what he told himself but the feel of dread never left him. It was true all he could see physically was a strange greyness, not dark or light but he could sense things. At all times he knew how far the others were to him, that Gladio was close to him and a daemon. The Iron Giants were surrounding them and Ignis swore more were coming, he knew how fruitless this seemed to be and yet the moment he heard a blade come crashing next to him he bolted. The Iron Giant had knocked Gladio over. He could hear the grunts from his lover, knew that the moment that blade came crashing down once more it would end him. That was why Ignis ran.
"Gladio!"
Everything flashed and for a moment their was unending pain and a scream left his lips. At least, he was pretty sure he was screaming, right now he couldn't focus on too much besides the pain and Gladio's voice. He knew Gladio was telling him something, screaming at him about something but he couldn't understand what. There was ringing in his ears and no matter how hard he tried he couldn't feel his legs. He knew they were there, he was able to reach them but he couldn't get them to move. He'd been hit in the back, probably paralyzed now. Lips were against his then, lips that were very familiar and very wet, or was something else wet? He couldn't tell. All he knew was Gladio wouldn't stop kissing him and he tried to answer back but blood was caught in his throat. He'd pulled apart, coughing up the metallic tasting fluid.
"Gl..adio..lus" It hurt to talk but he had to say something, he was starting to get cold. As far as he knew, he had blocked the giant's attacked, blocked and saved Gladio to keep fighting. If they wanted Noctis alive they needed strength,Noctis needed Gladio. "Pro...tect...Noct..."
Wet drops fell on his face and he reached out to touch them with shaking hands, knowing now what they were. Gladio was crying. He could feel his own tears threaten to fall and he reached up, reached at any part of Gladio he could. He felt his arms, his shoulder and neck, and finally his cheek. "I'm..I'm so sorry..." It was getting colder, harder to even just hold up a hand. Tears fell as for a brief moment, he swore he could see Gladio's face once more before the darkness took him one last time.

@kingshixld could use some help
Five long years had passed since the darkness took over all of Eos, and with no sun to keep the dæmons at bay, these beasts grew in numbers and grew stronger with each passing sunless day. But five years was enough for Iris to grow stronger as well. Years of nothing but training and learning so that one day she, too, can fight and protect and hold her ground. Like an Amicita should.
The last time she had seen her brother was almost a year ago-- an incredibly brief reunion which barely lasted a day before he had to leave for duties again. But now a full-fledged hunter, Iris was free to travel around the continent and help out at an outpost of her choosing. And word had spread of Gladio’s current whereabouts: last some hunter heard, the former prince’s shield was stationed in Lestallum.
So here she was.
In no time at all did she spot his familiar mess of hair, hulking frame, and infamous colossal weapon, ready to take off from the outpost to Astrals know where. Short legs had to sprint to catch up to him, but now her steps presented a childish bounce as she tried to suppress giddiness and excitement. It may have been years but Iris was still Gladiolus’ younger sister and she had missed him dearly.
“Gladdy!”
