32, muscular build, Aries
Left arm is missing, starting just before the elbow- has roughly 90% of his humerus and surrounding bicep tissue. Burn scarring, nerve damage, slight loss of sensation.
Has a prosthetic but doesn't use it much, it makes him feel guilty- like he HAS to work with one arm or else he has it too easy "after what he caused."
Some nerve damage to spine, causes leg and arm tingling and pain/stiffness.
Eyesight is rough, can detect light/shadow with left eye, but no real color and no visuals: Profound Blindness. Right eye can see better but mildly blurry, LOTS of floaties/super grainy when tired. Moderate Visual Impairment.
HOH- has about 80% hearing in his right ear, only 20% in his left. Has tinnitus, gets bad with lack of sleep, too much noise.
Ex-biomechanical engineer turned Clinical Research Engineer. He mainly reviews documentation and edits peer work as an assistant because of his past. Not allowed too much decision making, and he's okay with that.
Despite injuries, avid athletic dude. Loves the gym, uses the one in his apartment because it's usually empty. Uses adapted gym equipment he made for his missing arm, which is why he stayed relativey jacked as a recluse. Loves running.
Likes animals and bugs, but his apartment doesn't allow pets of ANY kind. They used to allow anything inside a tank under 50 gallons. Simon's rose hair tarantula changed that. It was entirely unfair, Lucy was always in her tank. They just weren't expecting her on an inspection visit. And the landlord had an INTENSE phobia.
Vegetarian. Avoids meat, eating and cooking. Okay with byproducts like eggs, butter, gelatin, milk, etc. It's a mental thing- the sound and smell of ANY cooking meat, especially beef or pork, is enough to make him sick/panic.
Favorite Foods: vanilla cake with too much icing, french toast, homemade ramen with tofu.
Has let his hair grow. If he wants it cut he goes to a cheap ass super cuts type deal and tells them to take off a specific amount, ex. "Three inches. No change to the cut. Keep it the exact same, just three inches shorter." Happens once, maybe twice a year.
Smattering of random type tattoos. Black heavy ink, bones, barbed wire, simple and moody designs patchworked across his arm, his legs, etc. Random small things. Only a few of them, but he likes them very much. 1. Stereotypical "Cut Here: ----------✂️" tattoo on his left arm that he got recently. 2. A tattoo of Lucy on his right bicep, done in a trad style. 3. The number 42 inside an outline of a whale on his right thigh- Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy reference. 4. Birth stone on left ankle. 5. "Ain't gonna suck itself". You know where. 6. Simple sprouted plant, left calf. 7. "Hit back twice as hard" right forearm. Ethel Cain bc ofc
Has his ears pierced, his bellybutton too 🗣
Fashion is ease of wear and comfort. Hates buttons, zippers are on thin ice. Primarily wears athletic wear- gym shirts, joggers, slip on supportive shoes for his back pain. Has raggedy band shirts. Whatever is easiest on and off with one arm.
Music: Post punk/goth. Heavy bass, soft vocals. Easier for his ears and brain. Enjoys noise when he doesn't want to think.
Favorite bands: Sleep Token (at a lower volume), The Twilight Sad, Blue Foundation, The Cure, Nine Inch Nails when he needs to zone out, etc.
Energy drink and sugar obsessed. Occasionally drinks, smokes cigarettes now and then. If it has icing it's his.
