Happy year of the Snake! 🐍🎉
As I've said a few times, Hannibal is not really a Handling Snake (tm). But he tolerates my presence and doesn't freak out even when I lift his hide, which feels like we have an understanding. The last time I picked him up, he gave me a good nip to show his disapproval. But he's more shy than anything else. It's just his nature as a white lip.
Ebony, on the other hand, is 100% tame. I can just grab her out of her tank whenever I want. I've had her since I graduated high school in 2009 and raised her from a baby. I'll even put her around my neck. The only thing is that I can't take my eyes off her because she will slither away and get into trouble. Bit of an escape artist, so I have to make sure her tank is locked properly.
