❝ Reyson. Please tell me you're enjoying the evening. ❞
Music and dancing were definitely up the heron's alley but he wasn't sure if the food would be to his taste. He was ready to go on the hunt for something Reyson could eat however. Or just something he liked, he knew there would be something sweet around for Reyson to snack on, something with fruit.
He puts an arm around him and lets it drape over Reyson's shoulders. The posture distinctly casual.
❝ Here, we're supposed to be exchanging these. ❞ He passes his brooch (decorated with a delicate string of pearls) to the heron. ❝ Take this one. Then dance with me. Everyone here dances so stiffly, formal. Back home we'd never dance like this, but I'll do my best so I don't embarrass you. ❞
"all the more, now that you're back beside me."
he's been flitting about the place, dancing and chatting and meeting new people. it's been nice, but he knows his place is at tibarn's side, knows it like he knows the air he breathes. with a smile, he takes the offered brooch and swaps it with his own, which has on it a little bell. do the pearls suit him better? "why, thank you."
the goal is to collect all of them, and he intends to at least makes the effort.
but it's not his goal, all he truly cares for are these moments of connection.
he takes tibarn's hand in his. "i'd love to dance with you. we can figure out the steps together, mimicking these surprisingly graceful beorc."
