I am sad and hurt,I am angry and confused, I am depressed, frustrated & so much more!! Last week I got the phone call saying I was being laid off from Disney after 7 years with the company. Later that day I said my goodbyes to my Cast and fellow Leads then shortly after that, I watched as my team get ripped apart. One by one, others from my department got their phone calls saying they had been laid off too. I am heartbroken… Not just for me but for my entire team! This week has been really tough on me but it is time to start a new adventure. I want to say thank you to everyone I have worked with at the Resort. You all have taught me so much & made my time with the company that much more magical!! I have made some life long friendships and memories and couldn’t be more grateful. As I sit here and remember the great times I had at Goofys Kitchen, ToonTown, Kingswell, The View and really all over the Resort, I remember why I applied for the job in the first place… There is truly no place like Disneyland!! I have always told my Cast, I am there for you not just with work but for anything and this statement still stands. I am not a Cast Member on paper anymore but I will always be one by heart!! I wish you all the absolute best in your future and if you need anything please reach out!
