Kinich, as you've learned since moving in with him, is irritatingly fox-like.
Not quite in the sense that he's cunning and sly, of which he definitely fits the bill… but more so in the sense that he'll come home late after his work on commissions and pilfer your fruit stashes like a small thieving animal.
"You know, I was starting to think I needed to worry about how much fruit Ajaw was eating at night."
Kinich's head snaps up at the sound of your voice, golden eyes just a smidge wider than usual. There's a tiny bit of mango juice smeared across his lips from the fruit he holds in his hand, his other occupied with unlacing his boots.
"Clearly I don't need to anymore."
Your boyfriend can't help but smile, a small little thing weighed down with exhaustion. He reaches his free hand out to you, the worries of his long day melting off him like water the moment you give in and step into his grasp.
"I'll buy you more," Kinich huffs. "Did I wake you when I came in?"
"No," You lean down just a touch to meet him where he sits, pressing a kiss next to his lips. The taste of fruit juice hits you before anything else, and you're quickly leaning back in for another taste. "Just thought I'd stay up and catch the wild animal that's been rummaging through my kitchen."
Kinich lifts the mango he had been eating up for you to take a bite, waiting for you to lean in before he's ducking in to steal your lips in a quick kiss instead. Somehow, the fresh fruit tastes even sweeter on his tongue than it does from the source.
"Well… You caught me," He teases, his free hand tracing little circles into the small of your back. "What now?"
…Yes. Kinich is irritatingly fox-like indeed.
