Reol’s new album Kinjitou is 100% gold, I find myself fascinated with a different song from it every day. Today I’ve been listening a lot to insider. I think it displays beautifully Reol’s progress in rapping. She has never been bad at it, but her rapping style used to be much softer, and with Jijitsujo’s songs it felt like she was looking for different style in rapping, whereas in Kinjitou and especially in this song it really feels like she has found one and damn she completely slays it. It’s also incredible how versatile she is in rapping??? insider’s rap parts have this harder sound, which resembles more other rapping I’ve listened to, but then there’s the soft kind like in Kamisama ni natta hi or playful sound like in Wanna. insider probably won’t become my fav from this album, but damn it’s good stuff every second from intro to outro. Its lyrics, beat, melody, choice in instruments, I just love all of it.
