kinme sashimi & grill bar, damansara heights.

finally back to my favorite japanese restaurant again, it’s been really long. we ordered all our favorite dishes - sashimi (voon’s choice), kuruma-ebi shioyaki, tomorokoshi, chawanmushi, iberico gyoza, jaga bata, gyusuji miso-ni and matcha ice cream.

food is incredible as usual, and the service staff is also attentive and nice. the freshness of the sashimi and king prawn reminds me of tsukiji fish market in japan, and i truly truly miss traveling to japan so much. the gyoza is really flavorful, same goes to the gyusuji, which is so appetizing and perfect with the fluffy white rice. matcha ice cream is the perfect ending to the meal, so refreshing and yummy, i love the green tea taste very much.

would definitely recommend the place to anyone who is also a japanese food lover that wants to have some good quality japanese food in kl. reservation is highly recommended as the seating space is really limited.

it’s been so long since i last came here, and i really miss good quality japanese food. so it was an impromptu decision to come here for valentine’s day dinner, after all we prefer quiet, non-crowed place and good food, which makes kinme a great choice.

the restaurant decoration is very pretty, everything is very japanese style and the place is spacious, with great service staff as well. we ordered voon’s choice sashimi to start with, since the quality of sashmi here is awesome. also ordered momo kushiyaki, jaga bata kushiyaki, kurama ebi shioyaki, chawanmushi and sake-sama oroshi-ni to share.

sashimi is indeed awesome, very good cute and fresh slices and i really enjoyed the shrimp and toro very much. grilled king prawn texture is very firm and the taste is fresh, chicken is tender and flavorful too. buttered potato smells awesome, must try this. chawanmushi is smooth and the egg fragrant is very enjoyable and soothing. king salmon collar stew has a really appetizing sauce, it goes well with rice and it’s a good last dish to complete a satisfying meal.

really awesome and one of the best japanese restaurants, makes me miss travelling to japan so much as the food freshness and taste is authentic and so similar. although the prices are on the higher side, it is definitely worth it given the quality of the meals served, and a special treat for celebration occasions is worth it, much much better than overpriced and commercialized set dinners.
