After V-day Egssy ends up getting a hold of the reality of Harry's death, of all the misses chances.
But when is finally starting to feel like he can move on and continue with a life without Harry, the sodding bastard come backs to life with a fucking bionic eye and a huge scar in his eye. And to make matters worse, fricking Merlin knew all along, and how is that much for betray when he was the one whom he when for advise when he didn't know what to do with the grief and the weight of everything, when in that time Merlin has become one of his best friends, family even.

So he lefts, even if ir hurts leaving Roxy behind. He would have loved to leave Kingsman behind but he doesn't think he will be able to carry on with a civilian life, now that has had a taste every other thing seems dull in comparison; so instead he goes to the American branch, Statesman, and gets a new alias.
He starts a new life as Mint Julep.
