Typically Bruce always tried to give a good first impression. Not eating the stranger was a good first start— though that wasn’t at all too difficult, considering how bony humans tended to be (from what Bruce had heard). The human also not attacking him was a decent start, as well, all things considered; the two-leggeds tended to be the more violent, vengeful type when Bruce happened to interact with them. Not having a net or harpoon thrown his direction was a fine change of pace.

The Cetus canted his head which was lowered to the ground, cautiously taking in the scents around him on this novel island. “Sorry, li’l bite. ‘fraid I wouldn’t know what that was,” Bruce replied, one of his habitual, ‘affectionate’ nicknames slipping out.
