ok I absolutely love that Vamola brought food for Momo, it’s such a beautiful part of Vamola’s character to comfort those with food. Like this panel is more than just “ahah so funny she has snacks!” To vamola, food is comfort. It’s safety, security, warmth. She was raised in environment where food was so insecure and scarce, the relief and joy she could feel any time she could eat must’ve been amazing. So naturally, her way to make other people feel safe is to bring food! This is also reinforced by that small little extra chapter, when Vamola has a conversation with Zuma. She asks him about food, not cus “silly alien loves food!” But she understands he’s pretty on guard rn cus he’s BLIND and he’s been guided around by someone he’s never met. So she talks about food, to be comforting! To eat is the privilege of the living. /ref. (holy shit I need to draw vamola in dungeon meshi now.)

I absolutely adore how Vamola’s written and the subtlety within. but that’s for another day to talk about or else I might forget about the whole chapter.

This character design looks SO familiar to me but I just can’t place it. it kinda feels like something from mha, but I know that’s not right.

porcupine quills but that size. FUCK that must hurt, my respect to okarun for not just passing out. Also such a cool villain design, don’t know why it’s not done more often.

my goodness this sadistic woman is horrifying, I love her as a villain already. but also damn poor okarun he’s trying his fucking best 😭 he just CANT win in this situation.

Theyre trying to make him give into the wrong thing. It’s like a spelling error in a contract, they’re not asking for him to give up his Pinocchio powers (if those actually exist and we’re not being bullshat by CSG), they’re asking him to give up turbo granny’s powers, which he does not have. So technically he’s not a liar, they’re just not being specific enough.

I really appreciated this next panel. Tatsu is properly enforcing that hase is a TWAT, incase him being a bully wasn’t clear enough.

I love the reason for Okarun getting mad. He’s not mad because he’s seeing another dude kiss someone he’s in love with, he’s infuriated because he’s seeing someone he loves being taken ADVANTAGE of, by his life long tormentor no less. Also I love seeing angry okarun, he’s gonna snap soon.

speaking which, I really liked the choice to make it so that hase’s eyes had no highlights in them.

It’s like he’s fully on the dark side now, having basically sold his soul, and losing humanity within him.

but not only that…

When Okarun says he’s gonna kill hase, It’s like this moment of becoming so consumed by rage, he loses his own humanity. I’m expecting this mf to snap soon, boy is MAD.

looks likes he’s passed out, probably from all the blood loss and pain. he doesn’t even stand up when the lady gets her hands off him. Maybe astral projection time again? Little side tangent but I would love if Okarun does have some sort of astral projection, goes to spy on CSG assuming he won’t be seen, but it’s the most horrifying panel ever of like CSG staring right at him.

this whole page was just AWESOME.

Idk what the fucks going on with kinta’s hair but I love it. although I’m still pretty disappointed vamola’s not leading the fight. My predictions are gonna be she handles the big ass chimera and have an awesome moment, kinta handles this twat. hopefully he doesn’t get hurt :-(

ALSO! MOMO CALLING KINTA COLONEL! it felt way more like pre-amnesia momo, possible that her memories are coming back even more. Maybe seeing hase jolted something in her mind, since the first time she met okarun was while protecting him from hase.

side note, the way kinta acts with momo reminds me so much of just “me and bro” like yk when your bro sends you videos on why you should get married and you go “wtf”. we all have those friendships… right?
