This is just an announcement: Kintracks is not, in fact, dead. Mod L has had to move once again, and it was an exceedingly stressful process. But now we’re back, and ready to rumble!

Some notes:

- Askbox is closed until I get through this backlog of asks. 

- In the meantime, we’ll put up some mixes for Kintypes That Are Likely To Be Popular right now, such as Smoky Quartz and Any Given Overwatch Character. 

- Enjoy yourselves! Have a lovely day.

Can I get a playlist or two for a Bill Cipher that regretted a lot of his past and tried to reform after the portal incident? I wanted to change, I really did, I felt so guilty about tricking Ford. (Please tag me in it too, @billward-cipher)

@billward-cipher, you’ve got your wish. I'm not a Gravity Falls fan, but some of my friends are 'kin that way, so I think I know enough about your canon to do this.

The mix starts off happy. Don't be fooled, it turns into what I think you want pretty damn quick. At least some of the songs were chosen for tone rather than lyrical content.

Hey, this is Mod Lucifer, just wanting to explain part of why the blog's been so quiet lately. My computer's hard drive recently failed. I've been on mobile with no access to music for a good while now. I can barely browse Tumblr, much less consistently find and make playlists. The good news- I've gotten a desktop computer as a gift; all I really need to do is get a keyboard for it and I'll be golden. When that happens, for this blog's ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY, I'll celebrate by cleaning out the ask box. In the meantime, there are a couple things you can do to help keep this blog alive: 1. Check the tag list! If you've got a kintype shared by a lot of people (for example: dogkin, spacekin, alienkin, catkin, or any fictiontype from Steven Universe, Undertale, or Homestuck), *please* check the tag list before you send in an ask. The chances are, unless you want a very special custom playlist tailored to your needs, you'll find something close to what you want on the tag list. 2. Submissions! I can't run this blog entirely alone. Mod Cryptid has been wonderful (thank you mate), but we are just two beings, and there's a heckuva lot more of you than there are of us. If you have a playlist you've made for a kintype of yours, have found some rocking tunes that you think people around here would like, or even just think a character you like deserves more love, feel free to submit a playlist; we'll put it up. Thanks for all your support; it's been a great year!

a humble call to the fictionkin community!

so i’m sure a good amount of us know about kintracks, right? but there are still a lot of people who submit our kintypes there and nothing comes up for them, so to that i offer a proposal!!!

if you see someone on kintracks heralding little to no results, and you are familiar with their canon, you should totally make a mix for them and send it to them!! even one can make such a big difference to someone.

i’m definitely going to start doin’ it when i have the spoons.  even if i have to camp out on wiki articles about their characters.  i want people to have kin music dangit.
