[ COFFEE ] hm, kinu doesn't really like the taste of this one either. it's a little too sweet for her liking. kinu thinks she'd just like a little milk herself instead of this chocolate-y, bitter stuff. smacking a lips a few times, she waits and watches for the stranger beside her to look away before she outright pours the contents of her drink into his cup and pretends that she absolutely didn't do that.
Hector almost spits it out when first he takes a sip, but he manages to preserve a sliver of decorum by sheer miracle - take that, all ye doubters.
But how and when did this even happen???
Had he simply gotten himself the wrong drink?
But he could have sworn he'd been almost done with it and hadn't yet gone back to get another. Certainly, he'd have remembered downing an entire mug of something sweeter like that. Would he not then have been expecting it?
But this was not expected at all!
This was a shock to the system, plain and simple.
Someone was out to get him.
How else could such a situation have occurred?
Hector was never without his enemies, not even in Fodlan he had come to learn (and quite the lesson that had been!),
but for something this sad and foolish? What was the point?
Couldn't they have just dealt with whatever misgivings the mystery miscreant had over a good ol-fashioned spar?
Or even, heavens forbid, through communication?? That was what well-adjusted people preferred, was it not?
And people called him thick, or insolent, but at least he wasn't the sort of craven what went around committing the basest knavery and messing with people's drinks!!
He couldn't wrap his head around any of this. . .
who would even do such a thing...???
"Hey," he Finally addresses a girl with odd ears sat next to him, "did you see if anyone messed with my drink??"
