A soft, amused huff slipped from the older prince. It was... new. All of it was. To come back to sibling and having their welcome was a story, but having someone he held more closely greet him? Literally, at that. Xander found himself loosely returning Xinya’s hold and what little he could lean back had allowed him to peer thoughtfully at the much more expressive prince. “If I told you to stay were you are, will you let me indulge myself in your company? I need it after being deprived of it.”

“Little prince, you waited?” A pair of hands carefully scooped their way under the dragon prince’s arms and hauled him up. He did well pulling Xinya into his lap despite his soreness, but even the aches didn’t make his smile falter. A rarity, but how could he not smile? It was an ordeal alone to contain his excitement.
