This has been a long time coming. For almost a year this blog was password protected since Julie's birthday live occurred I decided I could no longer continue supporting them the way I used to. I went ahead and continued the queue and locked the blog after some time passed by, only to not let my effort and time go to waste as I had over a thousand posts lined up. Since I always wanted this blog to be an archive of sorts, I'm leaving it up publicly for anyone to look back on.

I opened the blog back up for 2 weeks during June to post Julie's apology and S2's statement in case anyone had any thoughts on it but closed it after some time passed to make sure anyone who wanted to share their thoughts would.

What they did hurt many people and ruined their reputation quite a bit, way more than I expected it to be honest. It was mainly people of color who could no longer support them the way they used to due to what had occurred, as a lot of us are just tired of this behavior by now.

I have put my time and effort elsewhere since this occurred. I know when everything initially happened I said I wouldn't want to say what other accounts I had on here, but I've changed my mind a bit, you can find a list of the blogs I run in the previous post / here. I know K-POP has always had a racism issue, but I think Fatou from Blackswan even said that these idols (even native South Koreans) know better by now. I have been a fan of K-POP since 2015 and I just hoped in time stuff like this would stop.

I kept up with them nearly every day for a year. It was the first time I had kept up so closely with a K-POP group. It was a new experience and I was happy during the year I ran it at the very least.

Thank you to everyone who supported this blog within the year I ran it. I can only hope Kiss of Life as a group can continue to unlearn their racism and no longer hurt people in the way they did when the birthday live occurred. I also hope newer groups will do better and stop the cycle of doing racist and purposefully ignorant acts in the guise of being funny, people of color ESPECIALLY black people deserve better.

I believe they learned to do better, but that could just be me hoping for the best in people. Although other groups afterwards have shown questionable behavior as well, I think KIOF has learned their lesson and rightfully so.
