I try to slowly get back to them, because I was a big fan and then after that I kept listening still, but after another while I think the whole thing really settled and I felt bad about the whole thing, so there was a time I really couldnāt listen to them at all.
Theyāre a very unique group, they are very talented, their style, makeup, creative team are truly amazing. Iāve been trying to get back to them. I donāt really follow them anymore, but at least maybe separate the artist from the art idk
Also, Natty is super talented herself, and I think she was very close to become a big it girl, but with this whole thing, even with some of her endorsements, I think this term for her will be more limited to Asia. Maybe Europe. But I know latam and most of USA thereās still some resentment.
And what you said about them becoming a blueprint for racism and appropriation and still. Like, it really stained them forever I think. I donāt think it helps tho their own fans constant remind of the fact. Because if we really put ourselves in their places, people use their talent, what they created but show no respect to them, like mocking how they speak and stuff. Same Wendy situation.

But I also root a lot for Natty. I kinda would like if she went solo again in the future, because things are different for her than from the 1st time she did. But I also understand the group was and is good for her and she likes it. So thatās it
Yeah I do think a lot of the uniqueness from their debuted stemmed from Haein being their creative director. She's currently working more with Close Your Eyes, which is a very good group in my opinion she's very good. The girls themselves were very talented as well though like you said.
I did like her solo music before KIOF but I'm not sure if it would be any different for her at least success wise if she did solo music again. Even without the controversies it's hard to be successful as a solo artist. Like I said, I wish her well.
I think the fans acting like that could mostly be attributed to the song of theirs that came out shortly after. I think it's bad timing and it wasn't the title track, but their remaining fans really did seem to not handle the criticism well. I explained that Belle and Haneul didn't mean their bubble messages the way most people did, but I wasn't going to defend them to people who were still under the impression that they did.
But yeah in the end it's unfortunate. I did spend a lot of time on supporting these girls because I loved them and their music, but in the end it's up to them to be good people! That's just how it is sometimes unfortunately, but that's alright. I don't really mind if people try to get into them again but I really don't know anyone who would still. There will be many more latino and black artists we can love and support though.
