Viewers often report a calming sensation when standing before the painting. Scholars agree that this effect is definitely intentional.

This enigmatic portrait depicts Denki Sai, seated unnervingly calmly while emitting an aura of suspicious confidence. Scholars continue to debate the subject’s expression, often described as “quietly plotting” or “about to cause problems.” At the same time, historians believe he simply happened to sit there one day while the original muse went out for lunch.
The work was removed following multiple incidents involving unauthorized sitting, unsolicited commentary, and a pan-related misunderstanding (something about pansexuality). Reinstallation is not currently under consideration
Il Galvano (The Reluctant Masterpiece)

This striking portrait depicts Galvan Ize, seated with restrained intensity and a gaze bordering on a glare, suggesting the sitter was informed of the sitting only moments beforehand.
Unlike other subjects, the sitter’s expression conveys calculated composure, muted irritation, and the unmistakable realization that he looks far better in this portrait than intended. Art historians have noted the tension between the sitter’s expression and the harmony of the composition. The results have been described as “unintentionally excellent.”
The pan went missing afterwards.
La Curatrice (The Curator)

This portrait depicts Kira Aoki, curator of the collection, seated with notable ease and authority. Unlike other subjects, the sitter appears fully aware of both the exhibition context and the surrounding chaos.
The calm expression is believed to conceal extensive paperwork, suppressed sighs, and a firm refusal to elaborate. To this day, it remains unclear whether this work was commissioned or simply accepted without objection.
The sitter remains on duty.
